Well we already loss "INS Khukri" and Its Naval officers. The Mahendranath Mulla had not left the ship by following the custom of navy that; "Ship is Body and Captain is Soul" hence when the ship sunks the captain also loss his life with it. Hence though there was chance He did not left the ship; and just started to smoke a last Cigar. (In the second world war britan told his naval officer to not to do it, cause the captain is only can make by no of years experience, and hence not to lost them in the war). Salute Mulla. The wife of Mulla had inaugurated new "INS KHUKRI"

A real shame. Would've been good if some pvt entity had bought this ship and turned it into a Museum- would've been something special to visit just like HMS Belfast in London or the USS Intrepid in NY.

you're talking about INS Viraat,not Vikrant.Viraat will be in service for few more years..
