MOAB is not MOP (Massive Ordnance Penetrator).

what i am shocked to see Iranian's are only worried and protecting there Nuclear installation's and not there civilians,
u think if war breaks US will not attack civilian targets?

MOAB usage against civilians would be genocide, but since US does it now and then without repercussions, its theoretically possible they use it against Iran.

Defense would be two-fold:

* air defense, i.e. intercepting and exploding MOAB in the air. Not sure if Iran can do it against MOAB effectively at this moment.

* civilians hiding in the bunkers underground, they would be relatively safe.

genocide? U THINK USA will be worried about this? are u forgetting Iraq(falujah) they will use every weapon in there arsenal to attack Iran coz they know iran will retaliate back hard.

Best way for Iran to win a war against USA is to avoid the war with USA, I mean military confrontation. This is keeping in mind the civilian causalities, post war effects on people of Iran.

I do not think USA will attack Iran. It may puff, huff and posture but I would be very, very surprised if it does, indeed attack Iran. The Iranian's have a secret weapon of their own - The Persian people. Any attack would invite the the combined wrath of 70million Iranians.

As proven by the Iraq-Iran war Iranians are able to take massive casualties and still remain standing, firm in their resolve to defeat the enemy. This is not a country that will just dissolve under massive US bombing [ Iraq ] indeed I suspect if anything such a attack would galvanize the people to retaliate against US interests and I think US knows this.

In addition most of the worlds oil is transported in big, fat and swollen oil tankers that make easy targets for Iranian retaliation.
Result: Just the threat of this would send oil prices out of the roof.

Now what would that do to western economies already under economic stress? So no attack on Iran similiar to no attack on North Korea.

If Iraq could endure Iranian pressure tactics, US can do lot better. Iran and Iraq inflicted heavy casualties to each other because they gave each other the opportunities to do so. They used WW-I tactics, which will not work against a modern military machine like that of US.

Also, here is what a 4000 lb EPW can do:

The 4000 lb GBU-28 was created from a very heavy surplus Army eight-inch gun tube filled with conventional explosive and a modified laser guidance kit. It destroyed the bunker, which was protected by more than 30 feet of earth, concrete and hardened steel.

MOP can surely do lot better. I would not take media based speculations too seriously, since American officials have hinted that they are improving MOP; they may already have done so.

Also, some people do not know that US have developed EPW which can even destroy even an ICBM Silo.

Against dolphins there is a very good and fail proof defence and its filling the persisn gulf with sonar parasitis ,the sandy and shallow environment do the rest of the works , it made those dolphins mad
