COAS, Dar discuss budget requirements of army

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa Tuesday discussed financial requirements of Pakistan Army in the context of the budget for next financial year 2017-18.

During a meeting, they discussed in detail the ongoing development projects of Pakistan Army as well as the future development plans, said a press statement issued by the Finance Ministry here.

Finance Minister said the government would provide all possible resources to the armed forces to meet the national security and development needs, the statement added. – APP

my late father (God Bless him) was GSO-1 in budget directorate during his last 2 years of service. it is at this level that the govt. and military have parlays on what the military's requirements are. then a summary is sent to the CGS who briefs the COAS who really doesn't go into budgetary details in general.
