In line with details, there are reports that Christians who participated in protests on Monday 23rd of September, 2013 the All Saints Church suicide bombings were beaten by unknown men. These Christians are reported to be residents of Iqbal Town.

A Christian resident of Iqbal Town disclosed the story on condition of anonymity, claimed he was an eyewitness to the incident. He further said,” Several men thrashed seven or eight Christian youths with batons outside the Unitarian Church in the neighbourhood.”

“The men had their faces covered. Some of the victims, including Pastor Safir, were missing,” the resident maintained.

One more Christian resident of the area alleges police involvement in the incident. He further alleged,”Police were trying to ‘teach’ the Christian community a lesson for two consecutive days of protests on the Islamabad Highway.”

He asserted that,” The police had stationed a mobile van near the area’s taxi stand and were nabbing any Christians that went nearby.”

The neighbourhood of IqbalTown has a considerable Christian population wile the community has staged few strong protest rallies in the Capital; causing nuisance to the police over past couple of days.

On the other hand, the police officials at the Shehzad Town police station denied reports of any such incident saying,” They had not received any reports about the thrashing incident.” Furthermore, the police refuse the claims of some of the Christian residents of illegally detaining Christians. Nonetheless, the police officials said,” Police personnel have been deployed at Iqbal Town because of the recent protests.”

Bad thing ... Such incidents should not happen if it is true ............

throwing stones at by by passing bikers and cars, and damaging property wasn't either the right thing, let alone blocking main roads for 2 days, not only in Lahore, Islamabad but other cities as well..

I think the govt should have stayed in contact with the Christian associations and leaders to prevent such mishaps pro-actively.

p.s. though I understand the grief of families, but over all protests in the country seems instigated !

Right I cant understand why the cold blooded murder of 81 Christian women, children and men in a Church would **** them off. I am sure the Muslims in Pakistan would be much more understanding if the situation was reversed.

Exactly they burned police vehicle in Lahore Cantt. They were throwing stone on the police officers.

The bombing on a church is as wrong as bombing the mosque.but does that mean that people take law in their own hands.

No definitely NO.

Media always like to potray one sided story.

I have seen a couple of clips of these protests in media. One of the clips of Peshawar a man threw a motorbike and was breaking it, perhaps wanted to burn it. Another person intervenes to stop him. The aggressor started beating this person also.
Likewise, in one of the clips the leader of violent protest had his face painted white. Its obvious that he does not want to get recognised.
It is my observation that whoever is in minority, refrains from violent aggression. On the other hand such clips suggest that instigators were present in these protests, where violence took place. Therefore, it will not be incorrect to have a look an absolute different angle of a third party instigating protesters to indulge in violence and arson.

Although I do sympathize with the Christian with the church bombing, it causes a lot of problems if you block roads... If Muslim protesters were blocking roads they would have surely gotten beat up too...

The point is it was not done by law enforcing agencies but by unknown people.

What happen during those anti film riots by ur beloved mullahs? How come no one stopped them? Why did the police run from them? Why didn't you advocate violence against them? Yeah sure beat up the poor Christians, as if killing them wasn't enough.

Yes yes, they all should have been beaten back to their senses. How dare they protest for far too long. Job well done guys !!!

Trust me, muslims have suffered way more than the christians can ever imagine. I'm sure the muslims understand better than you ever will.

Oh yes I too felt a little pain when muslims were all up in arms world wide during cartoon protests. These silly christains must have known their aukaat in the first place.

What is with your obsession with muslims. Every post about muslims and your there. Did some muslim **** in your cheerios? Now why don't you go pray to your idols and leave us alone. :closed:
