Chinese salt banned in Pakistan over ‘health hazards’

Whether it is Chinese or not, that's not the issue! If it is not then its huge mistake on reporting side.

For me it's an issue! It's not a salt! It's not Chinese! It's a Jap product started from 1920s.

Precisely, MSG is widely used in many dishes whether u know it or not.

It is a commonly sold in grocery shops here.

Anyway this article is like a lazy piece of propaganda material out to demonize targetted country.

From Indians as usual!

It's simply not "Chinese"! Do you see why? Can you?
You are right...Chinese salt as opposed to aginomoto is more of a colloquial term as it is used in pan Asian food that we make. We do procure aginomoto mainly from china as I remember there was a case where the said salt was prepared pigs which was duly addressed. The news does not suggest that a substandard product is being imported rather its consumption be limited.
