Chinese president to visit Pakistan, hammer out $46-billion deal

^^^ Nuclear plants??

Not sure, I guess it may be the formal signing of KANUPP 2&3 project, with two ACP1000 reactors (1,100 MW each) from CNNC.

However since the deal might have been considered signed back in 2013, so it maybe the other planned projects:
  • PAEC has selected 6 new sites: Qadirabad-Bulloki (QB) link canal near Qadirabad Headworks; Dera Ghazi Khan canal near Taunsa Barrage; Taunsa-Panjnad canal near Multan; Nara canal near Sukkur; Pat Feeder canal near Guddu and Kabul River near Nowshera. 4 reactors were planned for the Taunsa-Panjnad canal near Multan in Punjab, 5 further 1100 MWe nuclear plants planned to meet anticipated electricity demand, targeting for 8.9 GWe of nuclear capacity on line by 2030.
  • 8 sites would be chosen for a further 32 units, four 1100 MW units at each, so that nuclear power supplied 1/4 of the country’s electricity from 40 GWe of capacity by a future date well beyond 2030.

To Welcome the Chinese President (preparations)

Even the NY Times has the big Chinese investment in Pakistan right now linked from its front page:

With nearly $4 trillion in foreign exchange reserves, China has plenty of resources to project its rising economic power. For example, China’s president, Xi Jinping, plans to offer $46 billion to Pakistan for infrastructure assistance that would open new transportation routes across Asia and challenge the United States as the dominant power in the region.

One pink line is not enough, we need to develop multi-line connection with China via Gilgit/Skardu.

5-6 lines
should be reasonable to increase our economy.

An economically strong Pakistan will economically benefit western China. It is in China's national interest to support Gwadar project and Pakistani economy.

Government of Pakistan should request our guest, the esteemed Chinese president, to help us build a large highway that goes to Uzbekistan which is going to be a considerably large economy in near future. We are lucky that we can offer the shortest routes connecting Uzbekistan to sea than any other country in the world and if we can tap the cooperation potential with Uzbekistan, there will be monumental opportunities for economic activity in our country. If we can just connect to Uzbekistan, Gawadar might be come a city larger than Karachi in twenty years. Uzbek are resource rich and investors all over the world vie to invest in profitable opportunities in their country. Uzbekistan has remained very neutral in world politics and strictly continues to protect its own interests. We must request Chines president to help build a highway from Pakistan to Uzbekistan or take into account the possibility that a highway to Uzbekistan will branch in northern Pakistan and end at Uzbekistan. I am sure our sincere Chinese friends will definitely help us build this highway and consider this trade route while writing the agreements. I think any other trade route to Uzbekistan connecting it with sea would be unnecessarily larger and unnatural.

Long Live Pak-China Friendship.
Long Live Pak-Uzbek Friendship.

While connecting to Uzbekistan, we will have to consider the terrain very carefully. Any unnecessary route through hard to pass mountainous areas would probably deter Uzbek people from using that highway and it has to be considered very carefully considering what is a good and shortest route for Uzbeks. I think if we can branch the proposed highway somewhere in KPK, we can avoid some very mountainous regions and have a short and smooth highway to Uzbekistan. Our government must request our guest, honorable Chinese President, for help with this route. We can also keep the possibility of building it on our own if it could be possible since it can very easily be run on strictly commercial basis.

Long Live Pak-China Friendship.
Long Live Pak-Uzbek Friendship.
