The British now lack the money, fortunately Chinese have the money ... it's the time let money talk, better to buy some techs from Britain like Rolls-Royce aircraft engine etc, win-win for both advanced techs to exchange new money & China market ... the British Royalty telling us how Britain welcome China (how Britain need China's help), GOD BLESS QUEEN ~!

I have no problems with CHina rising ( though I think that the per capita the US has now cannot be matched by china in a long time). If they do, good for them.

But What I do know is this---- under all circumstances UK's POV arounf that is completely irrelevant. UK taking sides is similar to Luxembourg takins sides- who cares?

I wouldn't discount GB this lightly, Sir. It remains a huge center for commerce and financial services.

I believe @mike2000 is back has been bragging how rich UK is and that the export to China plays an insignificant role in their economic growth. Judging from the whole circus the British Royal Family had to organize for welcoming our supreme leader with such a lavish banquet and high praises of how China has lifted couple of mln's Chinese out of poverty it's a clear message the UK desperately wants Chinese investments to boost the local economy

Hey Mike i can't hear you, what did you say again? China is light years behind UK and Japan and much poorer than these two countries per capita wise? What's with the begging for money from China? Moral of this story: never look down on China, it will bite you back real hard.

@WebMaster this is the second thread I have experienced where a pornographic pic is appearing right in between normal pictures. At first instance I thought the user did it on purpose but this happened here on this thread too, its second instance so felt like reporting it. Regards

Parden ? What's the nasty ... i don't understand it. After check pic again, still not find 'nasty thing' in pic ... u'd better tell me what's it then i can remove the pic.

Dude, stop calling me sir. . I think you will notice that the % presence of UK in world big finance is declining. There are large local companies (Bank of CHina etc.) which have increased their share because of their presence in these high growth markets.

The problem you reported is probably caused by a piece of adware that you typically get when you open **** sites or try to download something illegal.

The UK still remains one of the important global centers for financial activities.

The presidents here for a week, thats a pretty big deal and means huge levels of investment that have to have the heads of states to showcase it.

You have 20 times as many people as the UK but a weaker economy, a country that is in that situation does not just vanish.
