Last time I checked US and India spends more on defence than China(percentage of GDP). You are right that they suffer of military insecurity. Especially India. With her constand war mongering and two front war and the omg China will attack us.

China is poor at PR. They're close to becoming the new Red terror. No doubt this will cause blow back as they pick on middle powers like India and Japan. Nazi Germany, Napoleons France, USSR all had powerful nations uniting to counter and contain them. Same cant be said for the US and British empire.

Unfortunately China is sandwiched between nations who see it as a threat, the more China to bully, the more they will come to mutual agreements on defence.
