What's new

The No. 1 figure in Ryukyu (Okinawa) is preparing to visit China, and Chinese FM Qin Gang’s reminder is very clear: Ryukyu is not Japan’s territory

Japan is fucking around about Taiwan. China tolerated it for decades. It won't anymore because China now has the upperhand and is not playing nice guy anymore. Japan fucked around and will find out.
Exactly what upper hand you think you have over the Japanese on the Okinawan issue?

Lots of new Japanese bases in Ryukyu islands. They will protect Ryukyu islands and Taiwan.

You are an occupied country, why didn't you protect yourself first?

Let's take a look at what everybody is talking about

International law and a Japan in decline.
Well, I will use the Interntional will back Ukraine to say otherwise about the international law.

On the other hand, was Japan actually in decline?

Ryukyu is a Chinese vassal since the Ming dynasty in the 14th century until late in the 19th century, then Japan violently annexed Ryukyu just the same as Korea. Chinese emperors in the Ming dynasty used to order many skilled Chinese from the coastal province of Fujian to immigrate to the islands to help the vassal state to develop. Japan has no historical as well as legal claim that Ryukyu belongs to Japan as stated in the Potsdam Declaration to end WW II with regard to Japan, the Japanese land only consists of the four main islands not including Ryukyu. China has more historical and cultural ties with Ryukyu. It's time to make Ryukyu an independent country again as should be.

If Japan continues to do evil, the four islands may disappear.

Personally, I don't think China wants Japan NOT to interfere with Taiwan question. It's stupid to pass up just a good opportunity to cripple Japan militarily and economic. There isn't another excuse as good as the Taiwan question to attack Japan.

As I've said many times over in the past, China cannot simply be the World #1 and still carry a psychological wound from past Japanese aggression. Best to ressolve this issue ASAP so the country can move on to better things!

While there are a few countries that can ignore international law, Japan is not in a position to do so as it lacks any and all of the necessarily resources for self-sufficiency. And yes, when one is stagnating while others are growing, it is declining in relation to everyone else.

The thing is you are talking about gouging Japan apart, they don't need to be able to ignore international law, China is. I mean going for Taiwan is a murky idea, it may or may not trigger the response the west gave Ukraine, Japan is a sovereign nation, just like Ukraine, do you think the world will turn a blind eye if China does eye on Japan?

On the other hand, Japan is not stagnated, and it's honestly unfair to compare the economic grow between China and Japan, Japan is a fully developed nation, its growth is saturated, while China still has a long way to go for development. Besides, I am not talking about economy growth, I am talking about the level of governance.

Do you know what I do in the military? I am an Intelligence Officer, specially, I specialised in Human Intelligence, I am the kind of people that talk to you and get you to betray China and tell us their secret. I literally wrote a book about HUMINT and published part of that book here on PDF. There is only a certain way to push anyone to turn against the country they are working for You are talking about Money, Cultural/Nationality differences, and resentment of the government. You need to have in road in either one of the categories to flip a person's loyalty. Again, the question I ask is, what kind of advantage China enjoy over Japan to have the resistance movement up, it's a simple question, they would have to choose China (or what you are selling to them) and not their government in order to start an independence movement. I mean who China apply the playbook to? In fact, do China even have a playbook to begin with? I mean, you can't just ask people in the street of Okinawa whether or not they support independence, and give them a bunch of money when they say yes.

Japan is a sovereign state, and so is Ryukyu. While Taiwan has never been independent throughout history, Ryukyu has been for hundreds of years. It's under international trusteeship much like East Timor after WWII, and should be allowed independence. US transfer the trusteeship to Japan doesn't make it Japanese territory. There are plenty of Ryukyu people who doesn't identify themselves as Japanese and wants independence. It's about giving them proper support and funding to change the sentiment in the kingdom. They are not betraying their country as they are not Japanese.

That's king of wishful thinking. I mean, wasn't that's what Russia is thinking? That Donbas is an independent sovereignty outside Ukraine and they have the right to interfere with its matter, see how far the Russian goes??

As I said, if China support separatism in Okinawa, then it's China who need to defy any international convention. Not Japan. And China aren't in the position to call shots at international matters, especially you were thinking you want to do this after China "recover" Taiwan......

On the other hand, even if such thing exists, that wouldn't be Chinese issue, how are you going to make it Chinese? As I said before, what's the playbook move for China to make it a Chinese matter? Again, do you even have a playbook to go with? Or you are just going by the thinking of Okinawa is sovereign state??
