Well since its fantasy, one can even include a happy ending to the massage, it doesn't cost anything and well its pleasurable.

The Chinese are back, the celebrations were too early and falsely based on the premise that the PLA didn't inticipate the IA's response, was surprised and had to retreat. There is a deeper meaning to these intrusions, the Reds are merely testing waters, this isn't "intrude to remain" at play here. They will continue to come and go, rationalize it anyway but thats what will keep happening for the forseeable future.

China is testing waters for decades now, and finding it tougher to jump in with each passing day.

Please do. It will really humiliate China, I mean if anyone doubt India is better than China, this would prove the strength of the Indian arm forces. No tanks, no helicopters, no APCs, no problem.

All this is going to do really is make Chinese leadership realize the situation at the border and start to modernize these troops as fast as the ones not situated in the middle of nowhere, mean while, this "victory," will make India feel it can take China.

I didn't say slow down procurement, cause I don't understand how it can be any slower.

Also 1000 men is not a battalion. It's a regiment.

These constant disturbances at the border by China is also helping us to build our capabilities faster.

The only thing that will work is to show the stick to the PLA. For far too long under the UPA government have we been pussy footing on the issue.

Now with Modi at the helm, the Chinese are in for a big surprise. I'm sure they remember the hammering they got at Nathula in 1967 when 400 PLA soldiers were killed and scores of Chinese gun position and bunkers destroyed which forced them to beg India for a flag meeting to stop the carnage!

The Chinese and the PLA must realize that India and the IA is not what it was in 1962.

To prove how 'brave' the PLA is, there's a You Tube video showing PLA troops being chased by IA troops. The speed at which the PLA troops are seen running away would put even Usain Bolt to shame!!

1. You expect a Chinese source considering that the Chinese got a thrashing by Indian troops, which they will never ever publicize in their heavily censored media controlled by the state. You would be naive to think so.

2. The IA dominated the Chinese positions at Chola and Nathula and therefore could plaster the Chinese position by heavy and accurate artillery fire directed by OPs well positioned on the heights like Camel's Hump etc, destroying dozens of PLA mortar and artillery gun positions and scores of bunkers manned by the PLA.

3. Check out the incident on Google yourself.

And by the way, have you heard of the 1987 Somdorongchu incident in Arunachal Pradesh when Gen Sundarjee who was then Chief warned the PLA to get the fuk out of the area they had illegally occupied or face the consequences like their 1967 debacle? The Chinese quietly withdrew without a whimper seeing that they didn't want a repeat of the Nathula/Chola incident.

Now you'll want an independent source for this too. Google it.

But remember, an independent source would have meant imbedding international journalists with the Armies in the battle zone. This wasn't the norm in the 60s or even 80s unlike today.

So friend, don't clutch at straws trying to prove that these incidents never happened. I know you're getting pissed off at the fact that your eternal all weather, 'invincible' friend got the stick from the evil Yindoo banyas in these incidents.

We are in the middle in the process of raising this all new XVII Mountain Strike Corps - its temporary headquarters has alreeady been raised at Ranchi earlier this year. It will be raised over the next six years with around 90,000 soldiers at a cost of about Rs 64,700 crore, out of which around Rs 39,000 crore has being earmarked for capital expenditure. It will be fully operational by 2019-20.

Apart from "integral units" and two Para-Special Forces battalions, the new corps will have two high-altitude infantry divisions (initially being raised at Panagarh and Pathankot), two independent infantry brigades and two armoured brigades spread across Ladakh, Uttarakhand and Sikkim.
