China Military Buildup Shifts Balance of Power in Asia in Beijing’s Favor

US supply lines were extended and China launched a massive human wave attacks which shocked the USA and caused its forces to retreat but USA was able to stabilize the lines and re-capture Seoul from the Chinese.

And besides, no one is talking of a land war between China and USA.

Its most likely will be a naval engagement, followed on by carrier sorties to destroy Chinese Bases near the Coast.

1950's China barely had enough rifles to arm our soldiers, yet we still pushed the USA + 16 of her allies combined into the longest retreat in American military history.

1950's China didn't have "Carrier killer" ballistic missiles either, i.e. the DF-21D which is the very first Anti-ship Ballistic Missile platform in the world.

Read this:

[*]A U.S. defense analyst said China’s efficient defense spending could render U.S. aircraft carriers difficult to defend. China could build 1,127 DF-21D anti-ship ballistic missiles for the cost of one U.S. aircraft carrier at $13.5 billion.

Our DF-21D are designed to kill a carrier with one hit, from thousands of kilometers away.

And we can afford over a thousand of those for each carrier.

And we have the largest manufacturing base in the world. It will always be cheaper and faster to build DF-21D compared to carriers, which are enormously expensive and take years to build.

And soon we will be augmenting our DF-21D with HGV technology, which will massively increase their already huge range to strike halfway across the world. As well as making them nearly impossible to intercept.

That's what they thought in the 1950 Korean War, when China warned the USA + 16 of her allies (who had already taken almost all of North Korea) not to approach the Yalu river.

They didn't listen, and result was the longest retreat in the history of the US military forces. They were thrown out of North Korea, and kept out for the next half century, which is still the case today.

Even a 1950's China could do that.

He is a well known anti-China troll, just ignore him for good.

The HGV is the game change.

The US wouldn't adventure to damage China's coastal cities with the conventional weapons.

If China's coastal cities have been damaged, then China will resort to attack the US cities with the "conventional" HGV.

Just imagine the power of 500kg of TNT turning into 500 tons of TNT.

Why wouldn't there be a ground war? You're basically talking about a situation in which the post-World War II international order of globalization has effectively ended. China will have no more incentive to hold back and adhere to international norms. Natural resources, raw materials, and energy will have to be acquired by force. Do you honestly think a line on a map will prevent the world's largest army from expanding across Asia? Central Asia will be taken by force for the oil and natural gas. Southeast Asia will be annexed for its arable land. Mongolia will be invaded easily. The PLA will boot the US off the entire Korean peninsula. You can keep Japan and the islands. We don't need it.

Present day China can very easily transport tens of millions of soldiers across Asia. We have the world's largest auto industry.

Think about it like this. If the Mongol Empire can expand across Asia in the 13th century on horses, why can't China with motor vehicles?

We won't even need to expand through the land, the USN will lose all their precious toys in front of ASBM and HGV.

I say do both. Clear the entire first island chain with ASBM and HGV like this.

Next we take the rest of Asia. Globalization is over. No need to hold back anymore.

China is surrounded by enemies.

If there is a war between USA and China, USA won't be alone but be backed by forces from India, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and England.

China is hemmed in by a powerful Russia to the north, rival asian countries to the south, an emerging India to the east and US and its regional allies to the west.

Besides North Korea, no other country will come to China's aid in case of war between the USA and China while USA can count on multiple allies.

A war between USA and China will result in a military defeat for China.
LOL ... Let me say, in 21 century the most impossible thing is the War between U.S and China.

So WHY ? It's a complex & challenging question.:coffee:
1. What to maintaine U.S.A superweapons ? $$$$$.
- Pity ! China is 1st biggest $ creditor.
2. How U.S economy earn $$$$$ ? TRADE.

- China is 3rd biggest U.S exprot destination and 1st biggest import source nation.

If u don't understand the Economy Power in today, u just still live in Cold War time.
U.S need $$$ also need China, right now no nation can replace China to the U.S economy.
Without $$$ support U.S.A superweapons unwork.

USA has no territorial ambitions with China but it will seek to back any advesaries who will resist Chinese encroachment.

The only potential land war between China and USA could be if North Korea along with China invades South Korea or Chinese forces invade Taiwan.

Chinese navy will pay a punishing price before it even attempts to land ground forces in Taiwan and then it will face a bloody battle and ultimately its land forces will be defeated.

As for the Korean Peninsula, the South Korean forces are among the best equipped and highly trained in the world. South Korea backed by USA will be a meat grinder for Chinese and North Korean Armies.

China can boast all it wants, but for the forseeable future USA is the dominant power in Asia.

China has enough Nukes to destroy USA , so as usa ...
but in Any conventional war , its hard for USA to win ... even if China lost the war , they would not let USA to walk by easily .. they would destroy most of American fleets and Bases in East&South Asian and Arab land ..
and that will lead the Russian to take over the World as "New Supa Powa "

Well said.

In a conventional war, it is likely that we both crash our economy.

Since China is not Imperial Japan; Imperial Japan's production capability was only 10% of the US, while China's production capability is 150% of the US.

Lets say...
It'll most likely be a naval egagement, followed by the US Retreat back to the east.
