yar i am not able to understand why bd hate india almost every indian love bdesh, why ?
hello people, F7 is an interceptor and it gives decent service. Our air force is not against India, ( just 2 hours ago a GD pilot told me that), its only for Myanmar. These F7s will do more than fine against Myanmar Air force...
That is nonsense brah. And that too for obvious reasons. Think about it!
They are not our enemy but you always plan keeping bigger threats in mind.
Cheers!!!
The military of Bangladesh has two big sources of credit. One is $850 million Russian credit. BAF has purchased 16 units of YAK-130 training planes that will enable BAF to train its pilots for the 4.5 generation planes. I think other purchases from Russia will come later.
Another is a Chinese $800 million credit line with which China is supplying us with 44 MBT-2000, 16F-7BGI, Frigates, LPC-M, and many others. In the next 10 years the military of BD will be completely upgraded with a lot of firepower and a lot of personnel with good training to operate the latest weapons.
Young Man that is not nearly enough to upgrade BD's military with enough firepower unless there is a significant increase in the current budget allocated for the Armed Forces !

BD should not really spend this much of money for unproductive sector. But, it is anticipating huge reserves of gas/oil in the BoB. A $10 billion military weapons purchase is, therefore, cheap in the long run. We are moving ahead to build a very strong army with less men and more weapons.

Look, in case of Pakistan and India it is a competitipn of arms, propaganda and nerves against each other. So, these two countries openly speak about their military budgets without hiding and , if possible, exaserrating the figures. However, since its conception BD military has been doing differently. Its budget that you see as only $1.5 billion is only a non-weapon budget. Weapons come in many different categories such as construction equipments, dredgers, bull dozers or whatever each military wing thinks appropriate.
Our declared military budget is for the fooding, lodging and training of troops, maintence of weapons, garrisons and many others. Real budget is certainly double or near double the declared one. Sum up the weapons we keep on purchasing, like frigates, Corvettes, FAC-M, OPVs, Jets, Tanks, Training aircrafts and many others, you will see the budget has exceeded to more than double.
