PRC has helicopter landing post on their garrson at Spratly, but of course, since they're all far away from mainland or even Paracel, hard to re-supply or sending troop, so you want building more and more larger facilities at Spratly.

PRC need do it for their ambition to control all SCS with 9-10-11-any-dash-line map draw from nothing, It's the fact.

You should know by now that we all have disputes regarding SCS. Only wise men can see through USA will not declare China war for some disputed islands far away from USA. Whether KMT would have started with reclamation when VN and Ph did it is debatable. Now that China is building artificial islands in SCS these weaklings are crying. To heat things up US starts to meddle with the issue by expressing only criticism. Take note: only vocal support. If Vietcongs and Pinoys expect US to send their soldiers to die fighting one of her near peer, boy do they need some reality check. I have read some of their ridiculous wishful thinking comments such as expecting the world wide condemnation, the international community will take on China and what not. Yes these foolish comments were made by every Vietcongs and Pinoys here at PDF for the past few years. So what has changed? Nothing. Our Diego Garcias are coming whether they like it or not. US ain't stopping us, so only option left is use your own military force, but both VN and Ph are chicken sh!ts. No matter how many times they yell how VN kicked all the big powers out of their jungle, they are too scared to do anything. Piece of advice would be less noise, improve relations with China.

I agree to some extent with your point, but you must also remember that small/poor countries like Vietnam and Philippines are desperate to keep the islands they owned faced with a farrr bigger opponent like China, so they will obviously wish/hope a bigger country that can stand up to China will come to their aid since they know if they start any war/hostility, they will be quickly defeated and all their islands taken away. So I understand their fears/frustration. Though some of them are desolational in thinking the I.S/west will go to war with China for their sake. Lool that will never happen no matter what. We might give them some moral/vocal support,and sell them more weapons to make some bucks, but nothing more. I think it will be better for Vietnam and Philippines to tone down their rhetoric and be less reactive/emotional about this issue (they have been making even other ASEAN members uncomfortable about this) , they should try and negotiate a way out with China themselves, think this way an understanding can be reached that will be beneficial to all parties. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, just like Einstein said. So they should try something different, since their current approach has failed.

We're in the process of building a new Naval Base deep in the Western Pacific, a future home for the JMSDF.

The island is Okinotoroshima, and the island (when finished) will be 8 square kilometers in area.
