Of course you are. You have been growing in double digits and the current younger generation is comparatively have higher income.

All I am emphasizing is that both the markets have their unique characteristics. Huwaie, Chinese company, internet data card made by them are sold in hundreds of thousands.

Look at Lenovo, its one of the favorite laptops among my friend circle, some use apple, dell and me Vaio. But Lenovo is best buy price wise.

So now you can see, MNCs from your country extending its reach. And the customers are middle class.

I am not questioning who spends more than whom, I am pointing out the future market potential. The prediction are based on few years to 5 years. Decade long predictions are useless.

Actually around 63% of all the total consumer spending by 2020 by china and that other country, will be done by china alone.

So don't try to hang on our coat tails and our success by putting your failed country in the same sentence as our country.

Notice how Indians become flattered every time some ignorant fool puts china and India in the same sentence as if both as countries are similarly successful.

The gap between china and India is the same gap between US and Indonesia.
The only similar thing between china and India is population size, that's where the similarities end.
India is decades behind china is everything, things like social indicators, malnutrition, toilets, sports, space, economic, military, science & technology.

India cannot stand by themselves and get the same ego massaging due to their lack of success, so they try to weasel into the same sentence as china saying 'we have similar population to china therefore we are just as successful as china' to ride on our success and our global power.

There is no BRICS without china, but china can stand without the BRICS and have global influence.

of course your consumer spending will be more you dolt. you have a higher GDP and economy. The point of the article was combined it would be 10 trillion / year which is massive.

Only an fool would not get that. That would be like me bragging about american median incomes against the 3rd world country China every time anyone put an article with the US and China in same sentence. or saying our people at McDonald's make more in one month than your pay rates to factory workers over a year. You are still a 3rd world country...BRIC or no BRIC

We are 2nd world, India is 3rd world.

India fits the checklist of all 3rd world countries, malnutrition children, no food, very high child mortality rates, etc.

India has more poor than Africa, that is a fact.

If one read the research report all typical indian angles of comparing with China will be found. It looks like research was funded and/or influenced by indians. Chairman of Asia Pacific region of Boston Consultive Group is an indian and so was one of the person who prepared the report. One other thing indicated in the report is indian GDP will be at 8% by 2020. With current state and dwindiling economy one should be clear indians launched a campign riding on China's shoulder to paint a false picture on its future.
