The key to any naval success is air defense. That is why so many European navies rely heavily on air defense and multipurpose destroyers and frigates. This is why I argue heavily on a navy's half fleet being submarines to be protected by the water. Carriers can be used to strike any bases and locations firing missiles. Though are prone to attack. Imagine being in a pool with somebody throwing a beach ball at people's heads in the pool. If a beach ball is headed toward you, you can go under-water. This is the idea of a semi-submersible fleet. And with the creation of anti-torpedo torpedoes, torpedoes that are like ADS missiles, they hit their own and knock them out of commission, submersible fleets are even more defended, and even solitary subs have a defense, making subs even more valuable and defensive.

For a viable long-term navy in 2050.
Need many more subs and/or a submersible fleet
Need S-500s class ADS on destroyers
Need anti-torpedo torpedoes

I am just observing that the personal freedom provided by my culture is proving to be a transient. Darwinian forces are catching up with us, as human traits assert themselves to destroy the protections of the individual via the rule of law. This is where the fact that humans are generally smart(thinkers, problem solvers) comes into play...the concept of "social contract"...
...where we all limit our total freedom to a certain extent...to create order...giving rise to a society...and this is exactly what humans did...everywhere(Mesopotamia, Egypt, Indus Valley, China, Maya, Aztecs, etc and even before that at tribal levels).

Each person is given "protection and rights" to life, liberty, and property(in one form or another throughout time) by limiting "total freedom"(by introducing consequences to behaviors that we seem destructive like raping, pillaging, stealing, murdering, etc).
