The United States has 11 aircraft carrier battle groups.

Yet, the US never tried to stop China from reclaiming and militarizing its South China Sea islands.

Why?

If the US Navy attempted to stop Chinese island construction, China's PLA would most likely have marched into Outer Mongolia with its ICBMs. Since Outer Mongolia is the size of four Californias, China can build a 1,000 mile Underground Great Wall to emplace 500 DF-41 ICBMs.

Each DF-41 ICBM has 10 MIRVs. This means Outer Mongolia would become the world's most powerful base with 5,000 Chinese thermonuclear warheads.

I believe the United States will not interfere with China's South China Sea activities, because it doesn't want to face the problem of 5,000 Chinese thermonuclear warheads in Outer Mongolia.

China has 7 new military bases in S. China Sea: U.S. | ABS-CBN News (February 16, 2018)

"The commander of the U.S. Pacific Command has warned of China's growing military might, saying Beijing has unilaterally built 'seven new military bases' in the South China Sea.

'China is attempting to assert de facto sovereignty over disputed maritime features by further militarizing its man-made bases,' Adm. Harry Harris said in a congressional hearing on Wednesday.

Harris told the House Armed Services Committee the seven new facilities included 'aircraft hangars, barracks facilities, radar facilities, weapon emplacements (and) 10,000-foot runways.'"

Why not build another one, 8 is a better number.

Exactly. Eight is a lucky number and would support the US narrative reeking of insecurity.

US actions are inconclusive while China's build up is real. As for FONOPs, they set up a precedent for China to apply the same rule near US waters. However, those innocent passages do not change any fact on the ground.

5000 warheads? That's really huge man. :woot:
My estimation, China has 1000 -1500 based on western analyst (I forget where i read). Do you have any source according your claim? :-)

what a great joke, according to the map, Viet drill oil within their 200 nm economic zone what is the big deal about that:rofl:

Comparing American and Chinese strategic thermonuclear warheads

By February 2018, the United States is only permitted to have 1,550 strategic thermonuclear warheads under the New START Treaty with Russia. Due to a definition quirk, a bomber counts as "one" thermonuclear warhead.

1,550 thermonuclear warheads - 77 B-52H bombers - 68 B-1B bombers - 20 B-2A bombers = 1,385 thermonuclear warheads

I subtracted out the American bombers, because I don't think they can reach their targets (due to EMP vulnerability).

With 1,385 American strategic thermonuclear warheads under a verifiable New START Treaty, the US has to divide its arsenal into two to simultaneously strike continent-sized Russia and China.

1,385 / 2 = 693 thermonuclear warheads aimed by the US at China
----------

Now, let's look at how many Chinese strategic warheads are aimed at the US in a counter-strike.

Eight known Chinese DF-5A/B ICBM brigades

1. Luoning/Luoyang (804th brigade)
2. Wuzhai (Base 25)
3. Xuanhua
4. Tongdao (805th brigade)
5. Lushi (801st brigade)
6. Jingxian (803rd brigade)
7. Jingxian (814th brigade)
8. Hunan (818th brigade)

Assuming all eight brigades have been upgraded to DF-5B ICBMs (or will soon be fully upgraded in the near future):

8 DF-5B brigades x 12 DF-5B ICBMs per brigade x 8 MIRVs per DF-5B ICBM = 768 Chinese thermonuclear warheads from DF-5B ICBMs

Seven known Chinese DF-31A ICBM brigades

1. Delingha
2. Haiyan
3. Datong (809 Brigade)
4. Tainshui (812 Brigade)
5. Xixia
6. Shaoyang (805 Brigade)
7. Yuxi

7 DF-31A brigades x 12 ICBMs per brigade x 3 MIRVs per DF-31A ICBM = 252 thermonuclear warheads from DF-31A ICBMs

Five Chinese Type 094 SSBNs

The fifth Chinese Type 094 SSBN was seen in dry dock about 3 1/2 years ago. It should be operational by now.

5 Type 094 SSBNs x 12 JL-2 SLBMs per Type 094 SSBN x 8 MIRVs per JL-2 SLBM = 480 thermonuclear warheads from JL-2 SLBMs

China should have produced 165 DF-41 ICBMs during the past 66 months

It's been 5 1/2 years since the first known DF-41 ICBM launch. That's 66 months.

66 x 2 = 132 DF-41 ICBMs (probable lower bound)
66 x 3 = 198 DF-41 ICBMs (probable upper bound)

Assuming an average of 165 DF-41 ICBMs (probable middle estimate) with 10 MIRVs per missile, that's an additional 1,650 thermonuclear warheads on DF-41 ICBMs.

Adding up all of China's strategic thermonuclear warheads.

DF-5B thermonuclear warheads: 768
DF-31A thermonuclear warheads: 252
JL-2 thermonuclear warheads: 480
DF-41 thermonuclear warheads: 1,650 (estimate)

In total, China should presently have about 3,150 strategic thermonuclear warheads.

China should have four times more strategic thermonuclear warheads aimed at the US than vice versa. However, a thermonuclear war is unwinnable. 693 thermonuclear explosions plus radioactive fallout would render China unrecognizable.

China technically should have significantly more strategic thermonuclear warheads than the US, but Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) would ensure their non-use. It is illogical and completely insane for one mature thermonuclear power to launch a nuke war against another mature thermonuclear power.

US navy will suck up all oil in Nine dash line with VN and CN dare not do anything.

CN Nuke is for TW only :coffee:

Saying silly things don't make it true.

China's 195 km undersea pipeline will start extracting South China Sea natural gas.

China's billion-dollar offshore oil platform Haiyang Shiyou 981 has drilled wells in the South China Sea in the search for oil.

The US has zero presence in South China Sea oil and natural gas exploration and extraction.

Well, I must admit your analysis makes sense. But IMHO , thousands is too much. Assuming that one warhead could hit one state, which USA has 50 states. Then 50 warheads should be enough to make America never great again.

The US is the leader of NATO (US, Canada, and Europe).

China needs the thermonuclear warheads to deter Europe (UK and France) too.
