US technology is certainly advanced but whats the point of maintaining a "good" relationship with US.
No matter what kind of good military bargain purchased you've made, you naive indian people won't get the "advanced technology" from US. The case of buying mothership with Russia proves the principle. Basically, powerful nations like US will not offer you any advanced military technology without a proper return or reward. They always ask you for something, lots of money or something else. Surely, US can never be trusted, but now the question is whether the price that you guys would like to pay matches US's perceptions or not.

I have saw one video of a big ship which equipped with such propeller.
it is impressive , I am not sure whether we can use it on 052D, maybe it is too big for 10000ton ship.

The new tech like Pod Propeller and Electric Propulsion System, all first to used on China new 2,000~3,000ton Coast Guard Ships, when they mature later will install on new class DDG.

BTW that ABB Azipod Propulsion system held a Global Manufacturing Factory in China, all ABB's Pod Propulsions Made In China.

Both JNS and DLS are gonna get extremely busy with the concurrent constructions of 052Ds、055s、001A、002 and a host of other naval assets，

If everything is fine, >20x 052C/D+055 DDGs is not a dream for PLAN before 2020.
China should better to build another world-class shipyard like JN & DaLian, increase building speed.

They did have the experience of building the Type 051 DDs, but they haven't built any modern DDGs yet.

But if it is necessary, a new production of the Type 052D/055 could be opened in Guangzhou.

Eventually all major shipyards in China will be turning out 052/055 class. With so much money and effort going into the PLAN it is bound to happen. The only question that remains is the rate at which they could build such ships in full production.

Eventually all major shipyards in China will be turning out 052/055 class. With so much money and effort going into the PLAN it is bound to happen. The only question that remains is the rate at which they could build such ships in full production.

Since 2011 only one JN shipyard buiding 052C/D DDGs, from 2011 ~ 2014 it finished 4x 052C (N.o150,151,152,153)and 2x 052D DDGs(N.o172, N.o173 sea trial) and another 4x 052D shipbodys still building inside. It looks JNS almost launched 2x 052C/D DDGs each year.

DaLian is another world-class shipyard in China, ever built CV16 A.C. Of course DLS has enough strength to build modern DDG like 052D. If fine, i guess 2x 052D each year like JNS.

Both JNS and DLS can launch 4x 052D DDGs each year for PLAN.

Until to 2020, it might reach >20x 052D DDGs. Yes, all DDG building plan still depend on China economy support.

I hope these four shipyards to build 052D/055 at the same time though they play different role in the industry! If this come to true that will be amazing.
