China and Japan Inching Closer to War Over a Few Disputed Islets..

.
Frankly speaking no nation can afford a war right now.
:pop:

Some more than other, do remember Chinese economy is on the way up, a war with anyone (especially with Japan) will put a hold on that because you need to change from normal economy to war time economy. Then with china and Japanese fighting, us will most definitely see that as a chance and blow the Chinese aggressions trumpet, giving it a chance to increase US influence to the region

On the other hand, Japanese economy is dead for a few years, it costed not as much to Japanese to start a war, not to mention Japan always have a way to turn military economy to work, look at how quick Japanese bounced back after ww2?

.
Every Chinese despise the Japanese for their crimes in WW2.

There are 2 countries that Chinese hate...Japan and America.

I hate those two countries with passion because they are similar mass murdering war mongers.
what about india?

.
This is what comes to my mind when they say China Vs Japan :D

And these are the senaku islands for which they plan a collision???
Those are barren o_O

Barren but strategic.
Also when u own an island the water around it becomes yours thus increasing the economic zone.

.
They unilaterally nationalized a disputed area, this is clearly a sign of territorial provocation.
Is it??
Dont mind but China thinks arunachal pradesh(Indian territory) is their's.A little exaggerated claim nohhh??:pop:

The whole dispute with south asian countries is shaped by the continuing growth in the economic might of China.IMHO

It is hard to believe that either China or Japan actually wants a war. The bigger risk is that military posturing around the islands will lead to an accidental clash and that the governments of both nations would then be trapped by their own nationalist rhetoric.... making it very hard to climb down.
A conflict between China and Japan would be disastrous. It could also easily become a global conflict. The US is pledged to defend Japan through the US-Japan Security Treaty. And we all know the US military has a size and sophistication that China is not yet close to matching..

Knew that...but come to think of it...war would mean killing of innocent people too and for what?? these uninhabited isalnds??
Ironic isnt it???:(

Because they keep crying about how China has bullied them.

They can't face China alone, but has to bring their sugar daddy USA with them.

They started it first, then they should realize what is the consequence.

We can crush the Americans. We proved that in no uncertain terms in the Korean War when we hammered the American military and gave the United States it's most humiliating defeat.

The US is fearful of China, they got bitten once by China and now they are shy.

Our DF-21D can take care of their carriers and then it's China's war to lose.

US will not engage deeply if there ever going to be a war between Japan and China, at least this is what I will do

With US mobilise, US will also turn into wartime economy and I can tell you this, it won't be any good for the near future

And you also need to know JMSDF is not a walk over anyway, it's not like US will need any serious force to supplement the Japanese if the defence pack is indeed activated.

China is not afraid of fighting USA in a physical war, but China wanna win the war without firing a bullet.

Remember, the possible war between China and Japan in the next year will be in fact a proxy war between China and USA.

If there is any chance, China will beat Japan near death and will easily win that proxy war.

Naah China and US wont get into this stew at all.
Because of this
China Is 175.6% Dependent on the U.S. - Forbes

So US and China's economy are very dependent on each other....a proxy war will also be detrimental to their relationship.JMHO.

True.
But as i said if US is bounded by the security treaty and China wont spoil its current relationships with America for economic needs. If so there wont be any war at all.
Because again nobody can afford it.

True.

What do you expect anything from Forbes?

Of course, there will be no any real physical war at the moment, but the proxy war will definitely happen at anytime right now. Since Japan is becoming crazier ever than before, the proxy war will be inevitable.

Proxy war could mean anything these days.....
Destabilizing the government by maligning the leaders....or like CIA turned USSR into just Russia.
A proxy war could be as dangerous as the real war.

.
Highly doubt China and Japan will actually come to war over these Islands. Leadership of both nations understand that they hurt the interest of their respective nations and region and play into the strategy of other competitive nations in other parts of the world.

Of course, the consequence of losing this possible coming proxy war is definitely dangerous for both China and USA in this proxy war.

If China loses that proxy war, it would be the end of us.

If US loses that proxy war, they will lose all the credibilities in front of their allies, it will probably create a huge domino effect to end their global empire.

But the problem is that China will make sure that she will 100% win if that proxy war ever happened in the near future. China just tested all her nuclear deterrence and anti-missile shield again, it is to draw a clear red line for USA not to directly intervene the possible coming confrontation between China and Japan.

There are only two available options for US if China and Japan ever engaged into a war.

1. To fight China for Japan, but the result will be the global nuclear warfare.
2. Just watch Japan to face China alone without directly involving into it.

All these two options above are bad options for USA, and they will look for the third option, which is to prevent any physical war between China and Japan. Haven't you seen all those pro-USA/anti-China posters are now chanting how the war between China and Japan will not happen? Because they know it, they know that USA cannot win this proxy war if it ever happened.

Oh I'm not afraid of fighting the US. I'm certain we will crush them in any war in Asia.

But we need to be firm with the fascist regime like the US. That means getting rid of stupid policies adopted by the PLA.

China must tell the Americans to their face that they will be the junior partner in this century as our power rises.

I agree 100% with your assessment! Unlike some of the unhinged belligerent nationalists here (who have absolutely no power outside of this forum, so all they can do is rant and rave about their blood lust here) Japan and China are run by rational actors. Of course, that doesn't mean there won't ever be a direct confrontation between the two nations, just highly doubtful.
