@JanjaWeed

according to cnn ibn

NDA in following states:

Bihar - around 25-30
UP - 45-50
Maha - 25-30
Delhi - 3-4
TN & Andhra - lets say 3-4

Total - around 105-115 in six states & still to come Raj, MP, Gujarat (where i think 20 each = 60) not bad...........

& that's after sting op by AAP / CONG & dhamki by Shinde to crush electronic media? IBN is definitely being economical with BJP's chances

On a serious note... things are looking quite good for BJP in UP & Bihar. & it's only going to to get better since Laloo & Congress tie up!

When MOD allow somebody to use abusive language for a long time, Ultimately other members loose patience and start using same language. Bhai Zakir was doing that for a long time. MOD should have banned him much ago. Had that happened, The thread would have remained much batter.

BBC has 0 credibility. Woman are expected to get married earliest everywhere in the world. That is why proms are arranged even in school. That is why getting engaged or hooked is considered so lucky even in West. That is why gaggles of women wait eagerly to catch the bouquet thrown by brides in wedding. It is believe the woman who catches the bouquet is the next in line to be married.

Women leaving jobs for home is something desired by women themselves as well as when they have baby in civilized world family is considered more important than career.

What nonsense. Who is denied basic rights? What are basic rights? Are women in India denied food, clothing, shelter? Safety? Do you mean to say Indian govt has a policy to starve Indian women and be without clothes and protection?
--
1.)credibility -
if you consider BBC on 0 scale.. fine..
you must be having some concrete parameter to do so
BBC is not holly cow but stand in test of time.
i consider credible because,
1. Researched news 2 . stand against even their own govt ( think about DoorDarshan doing that ) 3. fair 4 . non biased most of the time (not all )
2) women and marriage - west and india..
marriage is bond of body and soul..
early marriages believed because role of women ,
a. was restricted even in west .
b. it was seen more of for reproduction which required early marriage for better fertility ..
WW 2 made women a sort of equal due to their role is changed drastically in society.
before child marriage considers best.. then scientifically age went to 18 plus why - 18 then she can carry a motherhood with minimum hazards.. so again focus is reproduction..and behavioral and mental growth .
but does she not have right to be economical independent ..or pursue higer education which have long gestation perios like doctors..
most of the girl /women leave education / career as compulsion and less by choice..
how many men leave their job when women get transferred to higher position ? not many
how many women leave job when men get transferred and to higer post ? Many
nothing wrong in it..
what imp is , its by her own choice or out of compulsion ?
indian women always consider FAMILY at top so they are always ready to do anything for them..
but now women are getting more education so more opportunities does then men/ society have to change too..?
in india marriage then kids that end of the story of women ...
but now women looking for perosnal space and ambition so marriage become second priority..

2. basic rights of women
govt of india did not discriminate but people do.
indian constitution did equal right to men and women.
but people ( our MPs after 60 yrs too cant pass women reservation bill )
see this,
"Students of Lady Shri Ram College for Women, one of the most progressive colleges in the country, think that women should be inside their homes by 8pm'
Women should be home by 8pm: LSR students - Hindustan Times

why after 8 pm is it curfew for women? are they become terrorist ?

many people had logic in nirbhya case .. why she went with guy.. in evening ? why if girl come in evening then people can whatever they want.?

Indian society is hypocritical..
they worship mata .. but forget to honour the womanhood...

3. civilised world and family
as per your statement "civilized world family is considered more important than career"
then why west have so many marriage and so many divorced.
why divorced rate are increasing in India..
by that standard muslim women (with due respect to them ) are more civilised than any other women as they are the people who give everything (education, personal ambition ) for family
and in west - women will be least civilized as they break up so early and so many divorce..
any society is called civilization only when
"person have free will to express and act (legally )as per his/her choice without any force "

(note: its my personal opinion ,, if anyone feel hurt . i am sorry )

All major Western medias are mouthpiece of their govt. That they expose a scandal or two now and then is just keeping up appearances of objectivity. Have you ever seen BBC highlighting the misery of Hindus in Kashmir? How about during Khalistan movement?

There is no "basic right" to be economically independent. Does the girl in India pay for her education? Is it the "right" of the girl that the family bear the cost of her getting higher education? She can always move out of the house if she is a strong minded person and pay for her education herself. What most families in India do is sacrifice their own comforts for the sake of their kids even when the kids are legally adults. This is not a "right." It is a privilege. In most cases at least the boy and his family are going to be around to take care of the family when the family has spent all their savings on the boy's education.

Again, a woman can choose between having a family or a career. It is a choice. She can always go for a divorce if she does not want to move when her husband gets transferred. Every individual in all circumstances weighs all their options and then decides. After a kid is born end of the story for a women? What kind of thinking is that? That is one of the most important phase of life of a woman. This is where she is entirely responsible for the upbringing of the future generation of this country. You think people are born in this life to get a 9-5 job? That the only story worth telling of a individual is their job?

but people ( our MPs after 60 yrs too cant pass women reservation bill )

Reservation is a privilege, again not a right. You seem to be getting confused a lot between rights and privileges.

There is no curfew in India for women to be out at anytime. A woman can choose her right to be outside or do anything. Just do not expect the men to be around her acting as her protectors 24x7. The man also has a right to stay at home and not be out looking out for his sister/wife/girlfriend/daughter. If there is a crime and something untoward happens, like anywhere in the world, then the legal machinery will kick in and proceed as required. There are criminals in every society and that is not related to anyone's rights in any manner. Most people may have had the logic that there simply are not many people around at that time of the night to provide adequate protection to Nirbhaya, so they have have questioned the wisdom of her being out at that time. I do not see anything wrong with that. They were not saying she "deserved" to be raped, but whether it was safe for her to be out.

What makes you think West is the standard for the rest of the world. No society which is sane would want those many divorces and broken homes. Broken homes seems to be your definition of civilized world.

There is a balance to strike between extreme selfishness of the West and the absolute lack of freedom of the Islamic society. India manages this balance better than any other country.

2014: Final Countdown
In the home stretch leading up to the 2014 Lok Sabha election beginning April 7, four political forces will come into play. First, the BJP and its expanding orbit of NDA allies. Second, the Congress and its shrinking UPA base. Third, the ragtag Third Front. And fourth, the equally amorphous Fourth Front.

The following analysis factors in several key issues: one, the formation of Telangana; two, the entry of Ram Vilas Paswan’s LJP into the BJP-led NDA; three, the possibility of Raj Thackeray’s MNS not contesting the 2014 Lok Sabha poll; four, the unravelling of the AIADMK-Left alliance; and fifth, likely new alliances between the BJP and small parties in Tamil Nadu (DMDK, PMK, MDMK), Haryana and elsewhere.

So what do the numbers throw up?

Start with likely seats for the BJP. As frontrunner, BJP strategists should break up their seat target into three categories: Focus States, Challenging States andSmall States/UTs.

Here are the projections:

Focus states
  1. Gujarat: 23
  2. Madhya Pradesh: 25
  3. Rajasthan: 22
  4. Maharashtra: 18
  5. Uttar Pradesh: 48
  6. Bihar: 24
  7. Karnataka: 15
  8. Chhattisgarh: 8
  9. Jharkhand: 8
  10. Uttarakhand: 4
Total: 195

Challenging states
  1. Haryana: 4
  2. Punjab: 2
  3. Assam: 5
  4. West Bengal: 1
  5. Kerala: 1
  6. Andhra Pradesh (Telangana): 2
  7. Andhra Pradesh (Seemandhra): 1
  8. Odisha: 1
  9. Tamil Nadu: 2
  10. Others: 2
Total 21

Small states/UTs
  1. Goa: 2
  2. Daman & Diu: 1
  3. Nagar Haveli: 1
  4. Himachal Pradesh: 3
  5. Jammu & Kashmir: 2
  6. Delhi: 3
  7. Andamans: 1
  8. Others: 1
Total: 14

BJP: overall total: 230

Turn now to the Congress:

Assuming the TRS fights the general election in a seat sharing alliance with the Congress in Andhra Pradesh (Telangana constituencies), these are the likely numbers for the Congress:
  1. Gujarat : 3
  2. Madhya Pradesh: 3
  3. Rajasthan: 1
  4. Chhattisgarh: 3
  5. Maharashtra: 9
  6. Karnataka: 12
  7. Uttar Pradesh: 4
  8. Bihar: 1
  9. Jharkhand: 2
  10. Uttarakhand: 1
  11. Haryana: 2
  12. Punjab: 1
  13. Assam: 5
  14. West Bengal: 4
  15. Kerala: 7
  16. Andhra Pradesh (Telangana): 4
  17. Andhra Pradesh (Seemandhra): 1
  18. Odisha: 4
  19. Tamil Nadu: 1
  20. Others: 7
Total: 75

How does the Third Front stack up?

Third Front
  1. Left (four parties): 25
  2. SP: 10
  3. BJD: 12
  4. JD(U): 4
  5. Others: 7
Total: 58

The likely rupture in the AIADMK’s alliance with the Left parties could sound the death knell of the Third Front, especially with the BJD also turning sceptical.

What about the Fourth Front, comprising parties antagonistic to the Third Front? Their likely numbers:

Fourth Front
  1. TMC: 27
  2. DMK: 9
  3. YSR: 12
  4. BSP: 18
  5. Others: 6
Total: 72

So we have our final math:

NDA: BJP (230) + SS (15) + SAD (7) + TDP (12) + LJP (2) + Others/Independents (18) = 284.

UPA: Congress (75) + NCP (5) + NC (1) +TRS (7) + RJD (8) + Others (8) =104.

Third Front: Left Front (25) + SP (10) + JDU (4) + BJD (12) + Others (7) =58.

Fourth Front: TMC (27) + DMK (9) + YSR (12) + BSP (18) + Others (6) =72.

Likely post-poll governing combinations? Here are two:
  1. UPA + Third Front: 106+58 =164. Plus outside support from AAP (10)=174. Add mercurial BSP (18) = 192 – well short of a working majority.
  2. NDA + post-poll allies: 284 + AIADMK (22) = 306.
Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR (12) and others from the Fourth Front could join the NDA though their numbers would not be critical to forming a stable government. Is there a further upside for the NDA? With two months of campaigning to go in this 9-phase election, there clearly is.
