BTW which version is Pakistan buying CH4A OR B? And can anyone explain the difference between both the versions as not much info is available on the B version.

According to open-source export-import records, the Chinese defence contractor Aerospace Long-March International (ALIT) delivered five CH-4 unmanned aerial vehicles to the Pakistan Army.

The shipment was recorded on 15 January 2021. It is not yet clear if this order is an initial batch ahead of a larger acquisition, or a small-scale purchase for testing or limited utilization.
Pakistan joins Iraq, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Myanmar, and Jordan as an operator of the CH-4. It is unclear if Pakistan ordered the CH-4A or CH-4B. If the CH-4B, the Pakistan Army will gain another armed drone (in addition to its Burraq-series) for unmanned combat operations.
The CH-4 reportedly has a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 1,300 kg. According to ALIT, the CH-4 can carry up to four munitions (weighing 50 kg each) plus an electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) turret. It has a reported endurance of 40 hours and a cruising speed of 180 knots.
Pakistan was initially linked to a possible CH-4 drone purchase in 2016 when Shi Wen, the lead designer of drones at China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) at the time, said the company was talking to a South Asian customer. In June 2016, a Wing Loong had crashed in Mianwali, Pakistan from an “experimental flight,” indicating that Pakistan was evaluating Chinese UAVs.

Anka + uses the native PD170 and has 350kg of transport, 32 hours of airtime, but it would be very expensive for Pakistan. TAI sold 3 Anka + 3 Control Stations to Tunisia for $ 80 million. Although TB2s use a local secret gasoline engine in some tests, you should know that they are currently using a civilian Rotax and if you have knowledge outside of popular culture, an embargo cannot be imposed on a civilian engine. The CH4 is a good choice in terms of price, but I was surprised by the TB2's production ability.

Pakistan receives five CH-4 drones from China


ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has received five Cai Hong 4 (Rainbow 4, or CH-4) multirole medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from all-weather friend China, shows export-import (EXIM) data available on the Pakistan Exim Trade Info website.
Chinese defence contractor Aerospace Long-March International Trade Co Ltd (ALIT) delivered the UAVs, which arrived in Punjab's Khanewal city on January 15.
It is unclear, however, which variant of the CH-4 was received by Pakistan, and whether this consignment is part of a larger UAV order or just a limited acquisition of this UAV type, possibly for testing.
The CH-4 family of multirole MALE UAVs was developed by ALIT and China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), and comes with a multitude of sensor options.

Two variants are known to be in service with China’s People’s Liberation Army: the baseline CH-4A, which is configured primarily for reconnaissance missions with a flight endurance of 30 hours, and the strike-capable CH-4B, which is capable of carrying a 345 kg weapon payload, but has a shorter flight endurance of 14 hours, according to IHS Jane's, the world's leading defence magazine.
There is also third variant called the CH-4C, which is still believed to be in the testing phase. This latest variant is reported to offer several improvements over the CH-4B, including a greater payload, increased electrical power generation, as well as updated data processing and electronic architecture, enabling a wider range of payloads to be carried, it added.

There is this problem of lacked of advertisement when it comes to Chinese defence deals, I am not expecting them to boast like Indian but everything we sees or surface are at least some five years or even decade old while Indian started shouting for ppt projects.

There is this problem of lacked of advertisement when it comes to Chinese defence deals/aquatsion, I am not expecting them to boast like Indian but everything we sees or surface are at least some five years or even decade old while Indian started shouting for ppt projects.
China defense contractor has no time to please fanboy or reveal anything much in public. But their product presentation to countries procurement representative including live testing and demo of their products are always complete and professional.

That is why you see Chinese defense contractor scoring a number of big deal over the years..
