hahahah thats like the warning on Cigarettes' packs saying Smoking is injurious to health. And the warning can not be read through naked eyes

Now they printed photo of a person with mouth cancer. Every time you open cigarette pack one come across that picture so I started using a cigarette case.

We can have India-like policy in the country..... where they are allowed to sell alcohol but forbidden to advertise or promote alcohol

How can tourism of a country run without ALCOHOL? Look at Dubai, what is not happening there even they are Muslim. Thanks BD - as there is no ban for liquor.

Alchohol was banned in the late 70's after Bhutto gave in to the demands of the Mullahs. So it should be known to many here that Alchohol was legal in Pakistan and so were other things like gambling.

Its up to choice for someone to sell, buy or partake in something. In my opinion, Alchohol should be legalized in Pakistan because currently gangsters and extremist groups bootleg alcohol raising money for their cause.

Another problem that we face is the ever rising alcohol poisoning in the country as alcoholics in Pakistan produce their own or get them from dubious sources.

Regarding Bhutto, want to share something, one of my uncle attended a huge gathering where he was the chief guest.And during his speech somebody asked him aloud that he's a drinker.

He replied;

"Han bhai daroo hee peta hon na, koi halwa to nahi khata."

After that the drive against alcohal started.

And regarding the last part ,well if not with poisoned alcohal(methylated one) there will be huge number of cases from simple ethanol abuse.

Just quoting for instance.

legal or not those who want to engage in vice will do it regardless..anyone can get hardcore drugs in Pakistan and particularly rampant in NW areas. I stayed at Karachi ramada and was solicited for everything from girls to drugs and booze..which is really shamefull!
