How can the authorities allow this when the government is on a plantation drive and there's world wide demand for Pakistani Mangoes.

People here tends to get the negatives from the positive news...yes it is unlikely that precious Mango orchards are in danger.

Multan has the best Airport in the country in smaller category, and has a BRTS as well, can be developed into a bigger cosmo city.

But housing societies on agri land should not be allowed...Buch seems to be the surname...

For that we need to encourage appartment complexes instead of housing societies.

BUCH is the family name of the owner. The housing scheme is built upon mango orchids thats what the gentleman told me, these were his ancestral lands. He used to be a pilot in PIA, after retirement the best utilization of his time was to convert those "useless" orchids into a residential/commercial business hub.

multan is progressing very fast.
about mango orchard don’t worry it’s coming more and more.

water quality is disgusting! It tastes like fresh water mixed with some leaked sewage pipeline and supplied!

Yes even the maid waste water to wash garage everyday! Imagine in Multan where sand flies around and garage is dirty within minutes....they wash their bloody garages with pressured water coz if you use less water you will need to scrub the sand off....if you use full blast water- the pressure ensures the sand washes off...and who cares about wastage...Baap ka pani hai!

Those are exceptions. When people dig wells or have their own pumps installed the state cannot charge money. That is obvious.

However, if people are using water through state facilities they should pay. The state is responsible for providing safe and clean drinking water.

You want to study a country where the cleanest drinking water is provided to the masses? Look no further than The Netherlands. The Dutch recycle water. Our nation could learn a lot from the Dutch. Such a small nation yet so talented.

it has sand storms and temp easily hits 50 degrees...in my books that is a desert if not a desert waiting to happen....with the mangoes gone....it wont take long to be a full fledged desert!

Multan is my home town, Mango trees are being cut to build Buch Villas, DHA and some other housing societies.

Citrus orchards learn a handsome amount.. infact im planting 30 acres in Aug.

Bhai, Multan is fertile AF. Its lush green... yes in summers 40c is average temp..

There is no desert in or near multan... closest desert is cholistan which technically starts from Bahawalpur.
