I have no objection to your post except this.
Fatih district not become conservative but it had been always a very conservative district.
So, by seeing Fatih district you shouldn't come to a conclusion that Turkish society is becoming more conservative.
That sentence wasn't intended to mean that. Maybe it was misplaced, but I was just trying to describe a city that came across as pluralistic.
You guys have been at it for a while now, where one of you is trying to describe the city as conservative and the other is countering that. I think it's not overwhelmingly either.
