No, it was the resident traders, journalists, students, doctors and general citizens who suffered. It's not like these militants are progressive revolutionaries like the PLO, PFLP-GC, FARC, German Red Army, Japanese Red Army etc. The Kashmiri "freedom fighters" don't have any real plan of action for what should happen for Kashmir's progress in say the next five years. Have these "freedom fighters" ever rejected association with the criminal group called Dukhtaraan-e-Millat of Asiya Andrabi ? Have they disassociated with the Jamaat-e-"Islami" Kashmir of the late Syed Ali Shah Geelani who had rejected Musharraf's Four Point Formula in 2001 ? What are these "freedom fighters" doing except killing and maiming ?
