The poem he recites merely quotes Bhagwat Gita from Mahabharat, where the protagonist of the play (Arjun) refuses to fight the enemies as they being his own kins. Then Lord Krishna reminds him of his duties towards righteousness and coaxes him to lift his weapon, even against his own kins who have left the path of righteousness and committed sins.

Kindly try to understand the context in which he talks about. The peace he talks about is probably all the 'Shanti Varta/Muzakrat' that the GoI and GoP keep having, they are useless. Better to raise a weapon, fight and resolve the issue, which everyone keeps lingering on for over seven decades.

Yes sometimes raising a weapon to kill is also required, all in greater good. The sins need to be weeded out even it requires killing the sinners.
