Yes east punjab muslims who survived from hindus and sikhs moved to Pakistan from east Punjab, mostly arain caste. Pakistani kanjars are by profession and not by blood. Anyone can become kanjar in Pakistan.

You are not getting the point, the kanjar caste was involved in the prostitution business, some converted to Islam but they kept their business intact so over time their caste name became a way to describe their profession. The Muslim Kanjars who settled in Pakistan permanently are considered 100% punjabi today and there is nobody of the kanjar caste however the stigma of prostitution has attached to the kanjar name and that is why it is a slur. Today India still has the kanjar caste but in Pakistan it is only a slur for the profession of prostitution.

There no such meaning for the word kanjar in my part of India though, don't know about Indian punjab though. Kanjars were anyways native to Rajasthan and punjab

Kanjars were only a couple thousand who moved to Pakistan while millions came over during partition so the caste itself no longer exists in Pakistan. The slur word is due to the profession the kanjars used to engage in during British India, the British described them as deviants running prostitution circuits hence the stigma.
