BJP MP demands renaming of Aurangzeb Road to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Road

guided by socialism and/or progressive intellectuals

Why? some say guided by right wingers, some say minorities, others taxpayers. There won't be a consensus in first step at all. That is what I call going full retard.

how??

in the above system, there is not vote system of just "yes" or "no" and there are no "political parties"... a person saying "yes" or "no" to a idea or decision or problem must state his reason.

Everything has 2 sides. They will state the reason. For example, some persons (say 20%) may say bus fare shouldn't be raised at all even though cost has shot up. He reason? He doesn't want to pay. Others (say 40%) understand this and are OK with moderate hike. 20% want steep hike and rest don't care. How long you will keep debating in your neighborhood level state level way without making a decision? So who will ultimately decide whether yes or no reasons make sense? because people can't agree on anything, including who will make the decisions... This would be most inefficient way of running anything, let alone govt. Nothing will ever work and all societies will be like libya, broken, bankrupt, violent and full retard..
We have debates at local level in for of panchayats...but there is no effing way everything can be decided by "debating". And atleast I will not agree for one particular type/group (as in liberal/progressive/intellectual) of persons leading the nation instead of knowing the individual.. all these liberal/progressive etc are labels that retards put on themselves because they are empty inside and what to feel important.. you can't trust them with your shoes, let alone country...

you do know that as muslims, i and he believed that prophet muhammad was the last prophet... i am not talking of supernatural things here but political.

predicting political events will not get anyone now to prophet status.
I did not say he is muslim prophet.. more like a generic prophet... the English word came from a greek word which had more generic meaning.

socialism brings progressive thought among the masses... if just for the reason of being fair, one also allows reactionary right-wingers, then society will again be pulled back into backwardness... so, one must be fixed on some things.

hinduguy and me had a debate of this maybe a month ago.

1. you said "rest don't care"... this cannot be possible in a direct-democracy socialist system because every citizen must participate in the running of society, because remember the communist credo "one who produces, can consume".

2. your reason "doesn't want to pay" is also reasonable because in more complete welfare/socialist systems, public transport is free or could have been deducted as "transportation tax" from a citizen's salary.

3. as you indicated, there is a 40 percent that understands the reason and is okay with a moderate rise... this minority is enough of a mass to encourage the rest to see the wisdom in a moderate rise.

Nothing will ever work and all societies will be like libya, broken, bankrupt, violent and full retard..

1. libyan jamahiriya was economically one of the richest countries and was pushing for a "gold dinar" currency which in time would replace the usa dollar as world currency.

2. libyan jamahiriya gave its citizens the right to have guns yet there were no shootings like the sort that happen in usa or the continuous violence that happens in south asia... what happened in 2011 was part of a massive nato conspiracy to be enacted all over the world.

We have debates at local level in for of panchayats...but there is no effing way everything can be decided by "debating".

panchayat is not democracy... it is simply a officialized form of pre-1947 dictatorship by a village's rich or powerful whose agents are so-called "village elders".

And atleast I will not agree for one particular type/group (as in liberal/progressive/intellectual) of persons leading the nation instead of knowing the individual.. all these liberal/progressive etc are labels that retards put on themselves because they are empty inside and what to feel important.. you can't trust them with your shoes, let alone country...

if progressives are empty inside, then there is no hope. :girl_wacko:

still, we know what the term refers to now, yes?? :)

yeah...np.. he is prophet for me, imam for you.. and daddy for his children? peace!!

again, simple question... how is it democratic when it does not have voluntary consent of all??

what if all muslims in india supported aimim??

funny it is not saffron.

Soon, the Indian regime would purge all Muslim names from India. Not just places but individuals as well.

seems so... first, taj mahal became called a hindu temple by name "tejo mahalaya" and now renaming of roads... bjp wants to turn back the "sickular" school/college curriculum from "the distortion done by the evil lefties" in the decades past.

slowly but surely...

Aurangzeb was a extremist moron ...how the heck did his name get used in the first place?

Yeah, whether Kalam or something else, drop the Aurangzeb name.

@jamahir Democracy is NOT predicated on concurrence of All. It is majority that makes the decisions but within confines of the constitution and the checks and balances of a tri-cameral governance that protects minorities.

Regardless, the entire Mughal dynasty was a disaster as all they did was maintain power while the rest of the world was inventing things. They managed to kill the brilliant Hindu scientific prowess which was world class before the barbaric tribes invaded and smashed through. Off with all of them.

and why not...

bashing former muslim rulers is secular... after all, one must avoid being sickular at all costs.

what next, demolishing of tipu sultan's fort and palace??

Of course...do you compare Tipu Sultan who was a patriot to the butcher Aurnzeb...No one question the legacy and value that is provided by Akbar or Tipu Sultan...But India should not name anything with that killer of Hindu people..Aurangzeb...Even i am wrong..that Mogoul king even killed his own brothers too...

if not for existence of alternative political groups, questioning modi would have been met by mob lynching of the questioner.

and democratically elected?? a significant minority did not vote for him, so how is this government democratically elected??

So in your definition how the democracy works?? Whenever 100% people will support someone then only some one should be a PM???...Please do not compare your Libya example here...

despite the underlined fancy words you used, what you describe is simply a "dictatorship of the majority"... and what happened in 2014 was worse, a dictatorship of a religious majority.

Regardless, the entire Mughal dynasty was a disaster

so mughal dynasty was disaster while vijayanagar kingdom was magnifique??

as all they did was maintain power while the rest of the world was inventing things.

certainly not in the extent of the "islamic golden age", i say !! those muslims were wastrels, i say !!

They managed to kill the brilliant Hindu scientific prowess which was world class before the barbaric tribes invaded and smashed through.

ah, you mean the 5000 year old knowledge of building interplanetary flying machines and even older technique of in vitro babies... brilliant, i agree.

Of course...do you compare Tipu Sultan who was a patriot to the butcher Aurnzeb...No one question the legacy and value that is provided by Akbar or Tipu Sultan...But India should not name anything with that killer of Hindu people..Aurangzeb...Even i am wrong..that Mogoul king even killed his own brothers too...

as i said earlier, my problem is not about renaming aurangzeb road ( i don't much care about him ) but in how this will encourage renaming of other roads and places... i just remembered that shiv sena had asked something to be renamed in delhi last year.

So in your definition how the democracy works?? Whenever 100% people will support someone then only some one should be a PM???...Please do not compare your Libya example here...

a prime minister or president ( in cases where president is the sole leader ) or some other terminology for leader generally comes through leadership skills within a group... now, whether or not such a leader should be allowed to guide a country or society should be decided by the masses who have been given authority through a progressive revolutionary system because only then will rational choices be made... it is the background political system that differentiates a enlightened mass from a reactionary rabble... don't we want a progressive political system to allow a enlightened mass to take decisions??

1. you said "rest don't care"... this cannot be possible in a direct-democracy socialist system because every citizen must participate in the running of society, because remember the communist credo "one who produces, can consume".

It is possible. There is no must, only should or could. If everybody participate in every discussion that affect any one in the society, all people can do is sit and squabble 24/7, nothing else.

2. your reason "doesn't want to pay" is also reasonable because in more complete welfare/socialist systems, public transport is free or could have been deducted as "transportation tax" from a citizen's salary.

I don't think "Do not want to pay" is reasonable at all. The fact that you say so itself shows your model of govt will be utterly dysfunctional. Why should people not using/can't use public transportation pay for people using it? public facilities should be run at no profit/no loss criteria and people using it must pay.

3. as you indicated, there is a 40 percent that understands the reason and is okay with a moderate rise... this minority is enough of a mass to encourage the rest to see the wisdom in a moderate rise.

Nope, 40% will not be able to convince "20%" who doesn't want to pay in a million years. Look up tragedy of the commons.

1. libyan jamahiriya was economically one of the richest countries and was pushing for a "gold dinar" currency which in time would replace the usa dollar as world currency.

BS.

2. libyan jamahiriya gave its citizens the right to have guns yet there were no shootings like the sort that happen in usa or the continuous violence that happens in south asia... what happened in 2011 was part of a massive nato conspiracy to be enacted all over the world.

We all see what is happening now.. the amount of violence is off the charts..

panchayat is not democracy... it is simply a officialized form of pre-1947 dictatorship by a village's rich or powerful whose agents are so-called "village elders".

So you don't know anything about panchayat and confuse it with "khap" style panchayats (which have no legal sanction). Panchayats (or village councils) are elected bodies taking care of local issues. Election held once 5 years, no party system allowed (only individual can contest)..

if progressives are empty inside, then there is no hope. :girl_wacko:

If they are put in charge.. that is why no one puts progressives in charge of anything..

We all see what is happening now.. the amount of violence is off the charts..

what are you talking about??

in 2011, 40+ nato militaries invaded libyan jamahiriya, preceeded by thousands of nato-trained terrorists... 150,000+ libyans were killed by end of 2012... the libya war was one the the biggest conspiracies operations in history... yet i can show you through photos from this year that many libyans actively carry the green flag of the jamahiriya period.

you do know that as muslims, i and he believed that prophet muhammad was the last prophet... i am not talking of supernatural things here but political.

predicting political events will not get anyone now to prophet status.

How can someone say Muhammad was the last prophet without believing in supernatural things? Isn't Muhammad's claim to being the last prophet is itself because god told so? If you don't believe in that supernatural thing, then does it not mean, there are infinite possibilities for future prophets? Or is it that when it comes to your own agenda, screw logic cuz blind faith>>>logic? Is such "enlightened thinking" a consequence of jamahirriya?

there is no blind faith in what i wrote.

all i was saying is there is no need to go through the complication of disputes arising out of someone claiming prophet status... it is simpler to have the prophet line stopped when it did.

and when you say "infinite possibilities for future prophets", what do you mean??

I see no harm in purging the ancestral land of foreign names and replacing them with Indian ones.

Calcutta to Kolkota

Poona to Pune

Cawnpore to Kanpur

Bombay to Mumbai

Aurangzeb to Abdul Kalam

I see no harm in purging the ancestral land of Indian origin names that we do not particularly like as well.
