BJP getting hammered in karnataka

Seeing people giving too much credit for Modi than he deserve, I have a strong feeling that he will also be a failure as a PM... Being a CM is comparitively more easier than running a nation..

Do you get that wishful feeling creeping over you sometimes, hoping that the cretin concerned who wrote the post would go out of the window himself?

Unfortunately i am involved in politics, (a member of the congress party) and i have met idiots like this all my life. ( in my party and in the SS and bjp) fools like this exist everywhere.

Seeing people giving too much credit for Modi than he deserve, I have a strong feeling that he will also be a failure as a PM... Being a CM is comparitively more easier than running a nation..

If anything this election showed that modi has not got a pan India influence. his biggest detractors are within his own party.

Karnataka 2013 Election: Side by side comparison of #Modi Magic versus Rahul Impact. Decide for yourself !

Narendra Modi campaigned in 3 districts out of 30 in Karnataka = 10%. BJP got 21 out of its 40 seats in these districts i.e. 55% of the seats whereas in remaining 183 seats BJP could manage 19 seats.

Comparing it with Congress star campaigner Shri Rahul Gandhi.

He visited 9 districts out of 30 in Karnataka = 30%. Congress won 43 of 121 seats in these districts= 35.5% whereas of the remaining 102 seats Congress won a whooping 77 seats.

Any doubt on Modi magic???

^^^ and yet the congress won??? why did modi not tour more districts? cuz according to you he would have with his magical powers made the voters vote bjp...

try to understand modi does not have a pan India appeal, secondly and more importantly assembly elections are fought on local issues.

You are rightly saying that assembly elections are fought on local issues.

So Modi would have had a limited role, even if he had campaigned extensively.

In fact, Modi barely spent 12 hours in the state total.

So why are Congressmen jumping about claiming that this has proved or disproved something about Modi. There is a failure of logic here.

Even if you are right, you should actually be encouraging BJP to project Modi nationally, since, as per your view, you will be benefited.

The real reason for the Congress and their paid media going overboard on this issue is, of course, something else.

Mate if the media was paid then they would not have brought out so many scams or given constant coverage of the issues facing the govt.

This is silly. Another argument would be that RG increased the congress tally while Modi decreased the BJP's tally. (it would still be a ridiculous assertion)

Modi made three stops for Karnataka polls, one in Bangalore, another in Dakshina Kannada, which includes Mangalore and Udupi, and a third in Belgaum. The coastal stretch of Dakshina Kannada has been the bastion of the BJP for last several decades, and in recent times the vitriol against the party had crescendoed, with moral policing against partying youth and even Hindu and Muslim friendship or acquaintance.

According to Mangalore-based analysts, the Hindu secularists and minorities have voted in tandem to put an end to the politics of hate. BJP had as many as eight seats of the 13 in Dakshina Kannada, while Congress had four and an independent one.

This time around, in spite of Modi’s crowd-pulling rally, Congress has swept the region with 10 wins, leaving just two seats to BJP and one to the independent. In Bangalore, Modi had a rally, again well-attended though mostly by RSS and hardcore BJP cadre, in Basavanagudi area in south Bangalore to exhort the urban voters to root for the BJP and reject ‘’Mr Golden Spoon’’, which he acerbically preferred over mentioning Rahul Gandhi.

The BJP won that seat but lost the neighbouring Chamrajpet to a JD(S) candidate. In Bangalore city which had 28 seats for the taking, the BJP tally fell sharply from 18 to 12. The Congress upped its 2008 tally of 9 to 13, and the JD(S) trebled it from just one last assembly polls.

In Belgaum district, BJP had in 2008 won 15 of the 18 seats; this time, it has won in seven.

Modi had ZERO impact on Karnataka, he might have as well sat at home and hatched eggs. Rahul, likewise had ZERO effect too- Congress would have routed BJP even if modi did 100% campaigning and RG did 0% campaigning.

For BJP Pride,Dignity & Self Respect has more Value then Politics ...

Didnt Built Ram Mandir when they where in power & taking moral high ground by leaving the matter to the decision of Court...

this is the reason most indians dnt believe in bjp....

Sir, Genuine Query, In Today's Politics - Who HAS??

Rahul Baba?? Who takes responsibility of UP (his own home state) & Bihar & gives Congress it's lowest tally ever & still doesn't take the responsibility of defeat??

Modi or No Modi, BJP was DOOMED in Karnataka & this Modi knew very well in advance.

bro... what if bjp asks modi to resign for the gujarat's cm post and nominates him as the cm candidate of karnataka ( jst an assumption ) then wouldn't the results be different ???? modi's pan india image doesn't have any thing to do with the assembly elections.. assembly elections will be fought on local issues...........

In one of his very few interactions with the press. Rahul on the day of the UP elections did take responsibility of the defeat.
by the way i was responding to the poster who claimed the modi did better than rahul in Karnataka. i was trying to point out that in todays day there is no central leader who has a pan India influence.
