It is possible..since the exercise duration is one month..and involves every sector of the armed forces..If the JF-17 can show a networking and linkage possibility with the other air, sea and land advanced platforms..it will be a very good marketing incentive.... since this is not a red flag-like exercise..The avionics capabilities would be of utmost importance..

Real testing of JF 17 Thunder Block 2 in this exercise against best air forces. It is a win win situation for PAF to evaluate technical and real war fighting capabilities along accuracy of Chinese weaponry of JF 17 Thunder. PAF can get all secret technical evaluation from Saudi Arabia easily and utilities in development of Block 3. Previously, we tested JF 17 thunder against Chinese systems. Now PAF has opportunity to test JF 17 Thunder Block 2 against American, European, French, Chinese and Russian machines along with TOP ranking fighter pilots.

There are 23 nations participating.. it is a major exercise involving all branches of the armies.. sea, air and land..might be a week for each branch and the last week for an integrated warfare exercise of the 3 branches..

Gulf countries always prefer Western or US Avionics.....because they believe that Chinese Avionics are sub standard. It is the best opportunity to change this perception.

Hi as per your post & list of participating aircraft all are mostly twin engine and beside that gulf countries always go for American or European countries hardware coz of their buying power
So if Pakistan has to impress them Chinese should
/or we should have with us some latest twin engine Chinese fighters in our arsenal so the true outcome can be judged against the eurofighter or f series American jets

Depends upon PAF war fighting skills. If JF 17 thunder unable to perform then financial resources must be re allocated to other better options because if Jf 17 shows poor performance then how can PAF fight with Indians.

Occasionally you hear somethings like MKI pilots boasting how they defeates F-15s (prior to USAF pilots deciding to embarrass the IAF by releasing the restrictions IAF asked USAF to fly with). Or PAF pilots unprofessionally leaking how they thrashed RAF Typhoons in a2a exercises at Anatolian eagle. I believe the pilots are supposed to keep the results confidential so each side saves face, but i just want to know generalization about bow the aircraft performed, and other forces opinions on the aircraft.

American, European, French and Russian jets are tested in real air combats and air forces have confidence on them but JF 17 is not exposed directly to air warfare. Do you think PAF will be able to perform as expected and get all technical results from Saudi Arabia to reassess proposed changes for JF 17 thunder Block 3 for further development and improvement.
