Best countries to live in outside of UK?

tell the full story first though....i believe America's future is at least unpredictable. AMerica has never faced what it is facing today - CHina and demographic changes(minority #s swelling). America is currently at PEAK Corruption with billionaire presidents, overspending on military which cant win any wars against countries, underspending on education and social welfare, having kids is too expensive, Core problems like legacy of slavery havent been tackled...Americans are suiciding and ODing on drugs more than ever...bro! this shit aint so nice like u make it sound.
Ya, but with graduate degree in Engineering, he will do just fine.

Germany vs Spain? Germany more prosperous, spain has the better weather. Spain has really low cost of living.

If you're rich then Pakistan could be the best option.

in general agree that about low living costs... but as usual it always depends were you go in Spain, in citys like Madrid or Barcelona you pay lot for property no matter if rent or buy. Food prices are low... insurance for cars are cheap (compared to Germany and the insurances robbery in the UK) electricity is as expansive as in Germany. Cars cost the same like elswere in europe (only slight different by tax rating) if you have kids...send them to international schools, the quality of spanish school system sucks, they are dead last in Europe in english that in a country with the second or third highest international tourist travelers visits. Whats cool about Spain ... everything is just much more chilled, but the work ethic is not existant. If you want a quality job done in Spain hire a foreign lead company. The reason why you find here thousend of smal german, british and even russian companys for house construction, electric installation etc. Spanish are to lazzy to install proper electric and mostly badly trained doing it... my company has two german electric master craftman... nearly every time we start building a new project the first thing they do is completely remove the old electric system and build it up to modern safty standarts... worst part...this even counts for newly build houses.

BUT the sun and beaches the easy lifing and focusing on real things that matter in life of the spanish makes it worth to be here. They dont show of, they dont buy big cars to impress the neighbors ..they prefer to meet each other and have a good time.

when the economy goes down, racism goes up forget bout jobs if your darker skin instead be a takeaway worker or drug dealer. got an education, forget it, best is Asda shelf-stacker unless your English then privileged. i want to move Pakistan but even they are kind of dicks to oversea paks I doubt I get a job over there. Racism has increased in the job market and certain towns.

As I get older I have begin to despise Scandavian countries. They can be top of the pops when it comes to statistics but not everything that shines on paper is gold. The weather in those countries is atrocious. Rather chop my testicles and place them in the freezer then live in any Scandic country.

Within a generation I think there will be zero emigration from Pakistan to Europe. As living conditions improve the overall quality of life will be better.

True but invariably this is result of ghetto culture. If you want to compete and win in mainstream society you have to develop those skills. Otherwise you will be frog stuck in a well croaking and complaining all day.

@Georg Thanks for the info. As i said, it depends who you are. Young guy looking for a career and experience, or an older guy winding down? Rich kid or poor?

All different.

Scandinavia sucks, i've been here for just over a year and I can't wait to leave soon. Every Friday and Saturday the city is a shithole of alcoholics with vomit everywhere. Also somehow our fellow Muslim youth in Scandinavia do not know how to behave, they engage in all the filth there is and need a severe beating.

my brother, I have skills I compare myself with English guys but guess what they exploit your labour and say bye once they got what they want. I volunteered at two places helped them improve etc and set up a project and then it was goodbye. we don't need you now or sorry we can't give you job because someone else got it but the truth is they give to their own. I am entitled to complain especially two years of free labour, then they nicely said fcuk off. Alhamdulillah, I now have a new job(paid), just waiting to be called in.

The weather is terrible no doubt but having lived in both the UK and Scandinavia, the weather isnt something to brag about in both.

Points where Scandinavia tops the UK (my opinion)

- Much better work/life balance. (https://www.thelocal.se/20190614/sweden-ranked-among-worlds-best-places-raise-a-family-unicef-report)

- Higher standard of living. I mean seriously, what is up with the UK and having seperate taps for hot and cold water!

- Unions even for employees in the private sector are still present. They will fight for workers rights including pay rise.

- Great social security/benefits.

- Transportation is way more efficient and affordable. Barring London, inner city transportation in the UK is sometimes completely atrocious.

Points where the UK tops Scandinavia

- Far greater diversity. Immigration to Scandinavia only picked up pace in the late 70s, especially from non-European immigrants. Not to say that racism does not exist in the UK, but its less profound I felt.

- Extroverted people. If you are an extrovert Scandinavia is really not the place you want to go to. Swedes will rarely smile or engage in small talk unless they know you.

- More events/concerts/matches. Being much larger than the Scandinavian nations, the UK attracts a lot more artists and comedians(stand up). It was really easy to find something to do spontaneously in the UK whereas in Scandinavia you have to plan well in advance.

- Much more variety in shopping and definitely cheaper. It is not uncommon to see someone wearing the same jacket on the bus or having the same IKEA table in their home as well here.

Conclusion

Based on my personal experiences I felt like the UK is a much more fun place to live in, but Scandinavia is a more financially stable location. As a teenager/young adult I would definitely prefer the UK over Sweden, but when starting a family and wanting to "settle down" Scandinavia is a much better choice in my opinion.

I have BSc Hons in computing nothing special but it is something. I did work hard for it with very poor health at the time. The town I live in is drug-infested.

Which is why I singled out Scanda. British weather is bad. You could easily jump in front of a moving Volvo articulated lorry because of the gre, drab, cold, damp we get here. But Sanda is British weather on steriods. Correct me but many parts have limited number of hours of daylight. Living in those conditions reduces all the other marginal benefits that Scanda has over UK. From what I have seen South of France is glorious. But not for likes of us.If your white it can't get better then that. I suppose for us Turkey is the ideal location but with political trouble always on the horizon I placed Ireland ahead. Simply because it's just another UK with dodgy accents.

I know. We have to work twice harder and be three times smarter but this is how it is. With enough effort it is possible. Just look at mayor of London Sadiq Khan, Admiral Amjad Hussain Royal Navy, Sajid Javed Chancellor of Exchequer etc and let them inspire you to try harder and don't lose hope.

No bias but Turkey has to be the best country to live outside of UK. The food, climate, culture, historic sites. It has everything.

Bro, idk your family situation but if possible move. Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds in the North or the Midlands all have loads of IT jobs. Plenty of work for programmers.

Which I noted. Turkey is glorious. As I said I placed it behind Ireland because of the percieved fear of political troubles from ME sand the Kurdish issue. Other then that Turkey might as well be the best place in the world to love ~ ahead of UK. Brough up in UK there is element of incumbency. This is familiar, your roots/family are here. But sans that Turkey is numero uno.

You lucky, lucky things.

*Mmm that reminds of Almaz song. Just place 'Turkey' there.

Keep in mind men like Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, Admiral Amjad Hussain Royal Navy, Sajid Javed Chancellor of Exchequer. All of Pakistani extraction. Sadiq and Javed's dads were I believe bus drivers. And look what they did. One became mayor of the greatest city in the world and other rose to top of the political ladder as second to Boris Johnson PM asc his Chancellor of Exchquer. Let such examples inspire you. Do not let your immediate circumstances arrest your hopes and aspirations. There is a big world full of opportunities and you have to grab it. Nobody is gonna hand it to you.
