Mubeen is my next door neighbour
Mokhtar is old name
Muneeb is good name.. will think about it
Usman is my cousin

What makes a name "Islamic"? Aren't these all Arab names?

Some of these names are derived from the Glorious Qur'an.

But anyways you got the meaning of it, there is no room for debate in this thread

My parents wanted to name me that.. But I was born a premature kid who had to be put in da incubater.

So they dropped the idea of naming me that... But I always loved the same so I named by brother Sher Khan.,

P.S: Apart from that I'm impressed by Capt Karnal Sher Khan ! <--- the Lion of Pak!

شہیدِ کشمیر
تحریکِ آزادیِ کشمیر کے عظیم قائد، شہیدِ کشمیر، شیرِ جنگ بہادر، فخرِ کشمیر کرنل شیر خان شہید نے 1947 میں مہاراجہ ہری سنگھ کے خلاف کشمیریوں کو یکجا کرتے ہوئے سب سے پہلے باقائدہ جنگ کا آغاز کیا۔ انہوں نے اپنی ذاتی زمین بیچ کر "5 AK Regiment" کی بنیاد رکھتے ہوئے مجاہدین کی گوریلا تربیت کی اور دشمن کو کہیں محاذوں پر شکستِ فاش دی۔ شیروں کی مانند دشمن سے نبرد آزما پونچھ محاذ پر جامِ شہادت نوش فرمایا۔
کرنل شیر خان شہید جب پونچھ کے محاذ پر جان کی بازی لگا کر امر ہوئے تو اُن کے سوابی سے تعلق رکھنے والے دوست غالب خان نے اپنے بیٹے کو وصیحت کی کے جب تمارے گھر بیٹا پیدا ہو تو اس کا نام تم نے کرنل شیر خان شہید کے نام پہ رکھنا ہے۔ غالب خان کرنل شیر خان شہید کے بہت قریبی ساتھی تھے اور وہ جانتے تھے کے یہ مردِ مجاہد صرف نام سے ہی شیر نہیں ہے بلکہ بہادری و شجاعت میں بھی شیرکو مات دیتا ہے۔ اور وہ چاہتے تھے کے ان کے خاندان میں بھی کرنل شیر خان شہید جیسا بہادر اور جری جوان پیدا ہو شاہد وہ نام کی تاثیر سے آگا تھے۔ جب غالب خان کے گھر پوتا پیدا ہوا تو کرنل شیر خان سے متاثر انہوں نے اس کا نام پورا "کرنل شیر خان شہید" ہی رکھ دیا۔ وقت کروٹ بدلتا رہا اور بل آخر غالب خان کا پوتا "کرنل شیر خان شہید" اپنے دادا کی امنگ بن کر پاک فوج میں بطور کپٹین بھرتی ہوا اور اُن کی خواہش کے احترام میں کارگل محاذ پر شجاعت و بہادری سے لڑھتے ہوئے کار ہائے نمایاں سر انجام دیے اور صحفہ قرطاس پر بہادری کے انمٹ نقوش ثبت کرتے ہوئے شہادت کے درجے پہ فائز ہوا اور حکومتِ پاکستان سے نشانِ حیدرکا اعزاز حاصل کیا۔ یہ پاک آرمی کا وہ واحد شہید ہے جس کے نا م میں ناصرف دو بار شہید آتا ہے بلکہ یہ کپٹین بھی ہے اور کرنل بھی۔ "کپٹین کرنل شیر خان شہید شہید"
