Bangladesh’s per capita gross domestic product (GDP) is now higher than most Indian states in eastern and northeastern India, with the exception of small hill states such as Mizoram and Sikkim. According to the data from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Bangladesh’s per capita GDP was $1,905 in 2019, against West Bengal’s $1,566 in 2018-19 (FY19) — economically the most developed state in eastern India.

It is good that well meaning Indian media now trying to educate their populace about the facts rather than fiction. The per capita GDP in Bangladesh is not only higher than Indian Eastern and north Eastern states but also higher than many other northern and western Indian states. It is good that well meaning Indian media now trying to educate their populace about the facts rather than fiction. The per capita GDP in Bangladesh is not only higher than Indian Eastern and north Eastern states but also higher than many other northern and western Indian states. At 7:48 the man on the video says essentially the same words I have been saying. He says the notion that India is some super duper 1st world country and Bangladesh is some 5th or 6th world country is ridiculous by displaying some facts. I usually say Indians think India is America and Bangladesh is worse than Honduras who will risk their lives to go to India.

In any event Indians can claim all they want, but for Bangladesh there is still so much to do. Cheap talk won't put food on table, give kids a decent education, enjoy a better quality of life, and increase the per capita GDP.

But this 5th largest GDP also divided among 1.37 billion Indians! Making a very low per capita GDP. They commonly confuse between '5th largest' and '5th richest'.

India has atrocious level of hunger and poverty and it's most socio-economic development ranking is even lower than Nepal(which has half of GDP per capita of India) due to large inequality. Still, just because they have space program, ballistic missiles, IT industry and 5th largest economy, they think, they are in the same league of Americans, Europeans.

Higher TFR has nothing to do with illegal migration. It’s their right to produce as many children as possible. It’s the only reason they will become majority.

However I mentioned you number of time Christians and Tribals has higher TFR than Muslim. But as you said you don’t care as their percentage is lower.

There is no loss of NRC rather your Assamese Government said it’s due to contract dispute with the IT companies.
