I will simply ignore your ranting and accept imf data. Which shows pak bd india and nepal all same classification lower middle income third world countries. It dont matter what bd government says or does.Nope. The inflation difference says otherwise. Also correlated to the standards these countries employ regd IMF (SDDS vs GDDS). The more basic your standards, the more inflation you can push.
This is exacerbated by BD over reliance on one export industry which it is hooked on to earn forex (and built up only by having LDC 0 tariff access).
It is not trading much of anything else (thus very limited genuine economic integration and exposure to different world liquidity chains), thus extrapolating that to Taka GDP claim of BD govt is going to be faulty given the lower standards used.
Especially given this household inflation on the ground (leading to household income decline) that BD govt to this day still doesnt give a response to:
https://opinion.bdnews24.com/2017/12/18/where-did-the-benefits-of-economic-growth-disappear/
Read above. Having that figure contain 1% relative inflation or 50% relative inflation to world liquidity standard (and shielded by poor economic standard adoption + shielding by grossly limited economic exposure) are VERY different figures in the end.
This is also why BD has an atrocious PPP multiplier.
This is also why BD has an atrocious Market cap. (70 billion now, compared to India 2 trillion plus...do the scaling by population yourself)
This is also why BD has an atrociously corrupt govt and terrible ease of doing business.
And finally this is why BD can only afford 300 million dollars of reverse investment into other countries in one year at most (and in fact by stock saw a decline, it couldnt even keep up with depreciation of these assets outside). And again, you guessed it....atrocious (when compared to its govt taka GDP claim - again illustrating the entrenched inflation there).
Thus whenever BD actually has to deliver the goods past its govt claims....the 50% of GDP = effectively inflation rears its head. So no one gives a shit in the end if your govt says whatever growth rate, given only half of it actually applies in the end (can simply look at what energy you guys consume for example).
As for Nepal, Indian open borders with that country and where a huge bulk of Nepali workers go (and in what scale) given what I said to cities like Delhi says more than anything else can regarding that.
Now i will believe if chinese ppl say Vietnam ppl go there for work cause they have 5 times higher per capital same as mexcio usa. Neighbors correct but lot richer in these two examples. South asia as a whole is more or less third world. No matter how long some one write an essay wont change the reality. Hence ppl from one third world wont go to another third world country for better jobs. Its simple.
