Simple reason, distance. Kolkata is much nearer. If they were to travel around 1800-2000 KM by air, they can rather travel to Malaysia, Thailand etc for much better choice of wares. Pakistan is too far too restrictive for taking that much pain.if they had lot of money they would be coming to Pakistan to buy quality goods not Indian trash
Man his outLet is over priced but clothes are good but highly over priced. Pakistani designers should bring khaadi and other stores to bengladesh. I will try sending this feedback to some outlets.Junaid Jamshed needs to open its outlet in Bd. It will gain almost same popularity as in Pakistan.
I was expecting to see @TopCat among the shoppers. Hello!! are you there? Rich people go to Kolkata for big shopping.Bangladeshi shoppers outnumber Indians in Kolkata market

Partition was based on religion. Not economy, unless Kolkata is a Muslim Majority area. It is not going to east Pakistan.1.Historically it was the labor and money of E Bengal which built Calcutta. In 1947 Partition the city was to come to us.
I don't see Hindu's wearing Hijab, Burka and doing Eid shopping. So who is actually pumping Money into economy of Kolkata?3. Same with New Market, AC Market, Garihata, etc. Hindus are thrifty to the extent of being misers - specially Bengali Hindus. It is us who have been pumping in money to the economy of Kolkata.
