Your intent of solidifying Ummah---first in this sub-con, and as model to the globe---is highly appreciable.

But, we two can not get it done. Since it is a “we need each other” issue, we should check the general attitudes of people concerned. This respectable forum provides with enough indication on attitudes of general Bangladeshis, Pakistanis and Indians.

I checked---over last 24 hours---various posts to discover any indicative pattern that may throw light on current attitudes of all people concerned:

1. Whether most Pak members of this forum are adequately respectful towards Bangladesh ?
2. In terms of (i) Gentle and Unpolished response and (ii) Reasonable and Arrogant attitude to Bangla members’ post, whom of Pak and Indian members are ahead of the other ?
3. Any common pattern of Pak and Indian members’ posts considering number of abusing hits a Bangla member has to take for making a Bangla-favorable comment ?

Based on my findings, I am doubtful whether appropriate attitude is yet available ? But again, if the time is not ripe now, then when ?

Welcome are all available comments that may clarify the picture.

Well we Bangladeshi members doing well in this forum and do get respect from Pakistani members but I am sure they will not tolerate anti-Pakistani remarks by some anti-Pakistani members. Recently created Bangladeshi section is a prof of solidarity from this forum. I am sure Bangladeshi forum will not create such to welcome our Pakistani brothers so distinction is there.
You also have to keep in mind that many time an Indian troll pose as Bangladeshi to create tension between us which lead to some anti-Bangladeshi posts. There are also fact that some people always will be anti-Pak-Bangla from both wings because of our history but that numbers is some what small and can be ignore.

It will not happen over night but reconciliation must start in a form of compromise toward greater relation between Pakistan and Bangladesh. I am sure right after 71 things were really stiff but over the years it has become more flexible and we are cooperating each other on many front mainly military thus I think people of both country are OK to move forward rather than stuck in the past. I don't know how is in other nations but in USA new generation of Pak-Bangla getting along better than Indian.

Some of our Pakistani member should share their views.:D

I think PAK-Bangladesh relations can be fixed unlike Indo-PAK relations but it will take a lot of time as some Bdeshis think we're evil people (Due to the brainwashing by Indian Media and Pro Indian Bdeshis.)

No country in this subcontinent has as of today managed to overwhelm its population with excess food...on the other hand looking at their populations, all three major players have done ok so why do you go down the feed the poor road?

Atrocities were committed by all parties but yes being the state at that time Pakistan is scrutinized more, but it was not that Army was the spawn of the devil sent to rape and kill...it was a mission without any definition which made Army operation such a failure and resulted in generating more violence.

However i still maintain that Pak Army is highly disciplined and always willing to sacrifice itself, if given a task they shall obey and put their lives on the line without flinching.

Pakistanis are indeed sorry for all the bloodshed which we should have avoided, we lost many fine men...

why to feel sorry , what had happened in 1971 was indeed for the asking.

SAMs, anti-tank missiles, anti-aircraft guns, naval missiles, 3D radar facilities - mostly defensive stuff but we will get around to offensive weapons in about 2 years when we have a sufficient stockpile of the list just provided.

Pak feels trial of war criminals may create new wounds: FM

Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni has said the Myanmar leaders during her latest trip to that country told her that they would take the Rohingya refugees back, reports bdnews24.com.

The Foreign Minister told the journalists at the foreign ministry Friday that Myanmar authorities in December last year said Rohingyas were not Myanmar citizens but Bangladeshis.

"At a meeting on trafficking in persons in Bali, I presented historical data and necessary evidence on Rohingyas' Myanmarese identity.

"During my Myanmar visit (May 16-17), its leaders admitted that they are Myanmarese and agreed to take them back," the foreign minister said.

She said Myanmar government sought a list from Dhaka on the number of Rohingyas living in Bangladesh as part of the repatriation process.

Dr Dipu Moni observed that the influx of Rohingya refugees from Myanmar was not a new development, rather the Arakan people were continuously intruding into Bangladesh for long.

Dipu Moni said the refugee flow would not stop unless Myanmar authorities guaranteed ‘qualitative change’ in its policy in Arakan state-Rohingyas' motherland.

Foreign secretary Md Touhid Hossain said: "So far, there is no change in the environment they live in."

The foreign secretary made it clear that Dhaka would not accept any foreign national as its citizen.

Around 30,000 residual Rohigya refugees, Myanmar Muslims from the northern Rakhain state, have been living in camps in Cox's Bazar district as they are unwilling to return to Myanmar.
Meanwhile, UNB report adds: the Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni said Pakistan has concerns about the trial of 1971 war criminals in Bangladesh saying Islamabad feels that it may create new wounds.

"They feel it's a history of the past. They feel many things may emerge through the trial process and they might be embarrassed. They don't want to go back to the past," Dr Dipu Moni made the opinion while speaking at a press briefing on her meeting with Pakistan State Minister for Foreign Affairs Malik Amad Khan on the sidelines of recently held ICFM conference in Damascus.
Lime"]Dipu Moni said Pakistan wants to discuss this issue more with Bangladesh and she agreed. She tried to convince Khan that it is an obligation for Bangladesh under national and international laws to try the war criminals responsible for assassination, rape, arson and loot committed in 1971.

The Foreign Minister said Bangladeshi victims are still carrying the wounds caused by the war criminals during the country's Liberation War and 'we want to heal the wounds. We want to finish the unfinished task'.

She told the Pakistani State Minister that while holding the trial Bangladesh will ensure due process, justice and international standards.

Asked if the trial would affect bilateral ties with USA, China and Saudi Arabia who took side with Pakistan in 1971, Dipu Moni said she firmly believes that no country can take side with those involved in heinous killing, rape and arson.

Let’s close this chapter. What happened in 1971 was really shameful but it was not one sided phenomenon. Both sides were equally responsible for such shameful deeds. Three millions is a very big number. With due respect to my former East Pakistani friends I will request to give these numbers some logical touch.
Lets us ask both governments to say sorry to each other. BD prime minister should address to Pakistani parliament and say sorry and Pakistani prime minister should address BD parliament and say sorry.
Agreed:)

Good one and I totally endorse your proposal. It has to come from both sides and I believe it's time to close this chapter once for all. Lets go.........

Listen brother, first make it clear we sons of same geographical mother i.e. Pakistan. You opted to separate you way that is ok, lets not to go in details why? Mutual respect is vital for both. I have many Bangladeshi friends. We are like brothers. Hate mainly come from Bangladeshi side, please don’t be offended it is my real personal experience. What happened in 1971 is shameful for both not for east or west. Now we you say that Liberation, Liberation of what. It was simple straight forward civil-war. East Pakistan separated and opted the Name of Bangladesh. Some friends also drags the concept of Ummah, listen if some says religion can not be the base for demand of separate state what about language or certain ethnicity. Just for information look what was said and promised with the people of east Pakistan and where are they now. West Pakistan was held responsible of all problems but even after 39 years Bangladesh is like any other third world country in all respects. Lets have well wishes for each other and look forward:agree:
