Are there any regional tax in Bangladesh like we have state tax along with central tax?
In India central, state govt and municipalities have power to demand and collect taxes from public ..On average state govt has maximum share of this revenue.. But in Bangladesh it's due to absence of state govt I think center collects most of the revenue..Under local gov act BD union parishad, district council, municipal and city corporations have their separate local tax system.
70 billion would have been the correct amount in case of Bangladesh. Many European welfare states have budget almost half of their gdp.Usually the poorer a country, the weaker the capacity of revenue collection.Romania is in intermediate level while BD,India ,Pakistan at the lower end. What ? When I first read the article I was shocked to see that at 220 billion $ GDP the budget is 43 billion$.What's the total budget or collection rate in Pakistan ?
In here we have a 58 billion $ budget with a 186 billion $ GDP but the collection rate is considered appaling and funds are poured in to raise it by 2020.

what is Bangladesh doing to prepare for effects of climate change? budget should reflect that.
This is mainly due to government not willing to decrease oil prices and instead increase them along with electricity and other commodities. They will brag about how they reached such high GDP growth rates in terms of recession but will not mention that the cost of living has gone up in the process.
This year for the first time we will reach 7 % GDP growth rate after lingering around 6% for several years. With the completion of Padma Bridge, Nuclear power, Deep sea port It is to rise 2% more in future.
I don't know much of our economics as per my general knowledge Central govt grants are distributed through finance commission recommendation. They are mainly given to infrastructure development.. It will be around 10% of state budget for healthier states of the Union.. And there are other welfare schemes launched by central govt.. Roughly out of every 100 rs tax paid state govt gets more than 60rs on avg.. State and center both can fix new taxes through legislation but they are answerable to public after completing their terms. How the state budget in India works.
How many percentage it funds itself and how many percentage it gets from Federal?

I can't understand that high % of tax collection.. Taking 40$ tax for every 100$ worth products or services?? Or am I analysing it wrong??It depends mostly on the capacity of the state to collect not wealth per say.Hungary collects around 42% and it's really not the richest country out there.A healthy state apparatus should collect around 38-40%.

Yes but revenue has to come from tax collected from the same gdp right??That's the percentage of the nominal GDP collected in your state budget
