Bangladesh trounced Ireland by 195 runs in Napier to win the Plate Championship and secure the ninth place in the competition. The victory centred on a collective batting effort which helped Bangladesh post a formidable 307 for 6, and a hat-trick from seam bowler Kamrul Islam Rabbi which shut out Ireland.

How is securing ninth position an achievement ?

They are already a test playing side. So imo getting ninth position by beating Ireland is nothing unexpected. They have some talented players in the national side too, but lack temperament. It's just a matter of time before they start playing well.

They lost to WI by 1 run and with Pakistan,they lost on the second last ball.Both close matches,I guess they were not able to keep their nerves tight.They were looking as a good team,beating Sri Lanka and thrashed England U-19 in a 5 match tournament.
