Bangladesh could be banning the mobile battle royale games, PUBG Mobile and Free Fire.
The South Asian country’s ministries of home and education are working together to recommend a ban on the two titles, according to the Dhaka Tribune yesterday. The games are reportedly being banned to “safeguard” the mental health of young people.
Even though the ministry of education is working to ban the games, its minister Dipu Moni admitted it doesn’t have any statistics to back claims of the games’ potentially harmful effects on children.
“We don’t have any such analysis or statistics in hand, but there is a lot to do in that area,” Moni was quoted as saying by the Dhaka Tribune.

Tencent’s PUBG Mobile and Garena’s Free Fire are popular in the country. The reports of a ban come just a few days after Garena announced an exclusive server for Free Fire in Bangladesh, which will be available from June 8.
This isn’t the first time, PUBG Mobile would be banned in Bangladesh, however. In October 2019, the game was briefly banned for its “psychological impact” on youths. This ban was lifted in just a few hours, though.
Tencent’s immensely successful game PUBG Mobile has faced a lot of flak globally. The game has been banned in Jordan, Iraq, and Nepal because of its “negative impacts” on society. Afghanistan and Pakistan had also briefly banned the game last year for the same reasons.

Guess the Governments of countries around the world seem to be as oblivious as the rest of the world, that online - full spectrum combat games are a source of A.I soak-up as much human behavioral tacts in tailor made environment.

Dumbass policymakers. Do these dumbass know how big eSports industry? On the bright side, Pakistanis will now face less competition in South Asian tournaments.
Oh please if you study and get a job it would be more secure than any E sports employment.I am not saying that E sports is bad I am simply saying that it distracts students from their education by promising false hopes of becoming a mini Ducky Bhai or Ninja.

If they’re exceptionally good at it, who cares? No need to go through boomer education system and compete with the masses for finite jobs

Both studying and gaming should be done in a balanced way. Once you have a high enough rank than you will get the attention of eSports teams. If you play for fun and upload the gameplay on social media then keep both studies and gaming in balance, if you manage to get a large enough following and you're certain that this path will be successful for you then make this your fulltime job.
No worries, people will play with VPN.
But your players will longer be able to participate in eSports tournaments for these games.

Again the shit argument that violent games make violent beings
They do .... it does affect people's behavior and that's the arguement of people who have read more books on mental health than you ever will. So don't call it a shit arguement.
Good decision by the government... we have a bunch of kishore gangs these days playing stupid pubg and taking yaba pills

What do streamers contribute to society ? Nil, infact they're a bad influence...

A wasted life. Period.

Our younger generation need to be ready for tomorrow, whatever it may bring... and mowing people down with cars in GTA won't help with that.
