More than 65 percent with only 30% muslims and most of the muslims are not even Bengali but indigenous...I do not understand the obsession of some Bangladeshi's towards Assam. What is the locus standing here...Assam was never under muslim rule in her history not even when the Mughals controlled the whole of North India.

SAARC is a dead agency if at all it wants to really upset us. SAARC talks about trade and economic relations between South Asian countries; not to meddle in others internal matters and bring hell upon oneself.

We have been watching that how much effective is SAARC-theory practically even it had a great objective. Unfortunately I am not hopeful about it. As I told before that Bangladesh should establish individual relationships with South Asian countries instead of thinking about SAARC. It’s not a necessary requirement that BD will be benefitted only if Pakistan, China or Sri Lanka has well relation with India. It's unfeasible thinking that we all will reach in a consensus and work for each other ever where our respective country policies are different. So we should establish very friendly relation with China, Pakistan, Burma, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka separately and get benefits quickly.

I wonder how much effort we gave to have a trust worthy relation with India but the reflection is so much hopeless as there is always BSF killing, Water stealing, recently the waiver begging for transit and so on. If we would put this effort with PK then we could have established a very brotherly relation by now – but unfortunately hell AL and its master always bulling us.
