Bangladesh is close to finalise a deal with China for six mega projects valued over $6 billion.

This is Delhi Metro & I don't see the trains moving with their doors open. In DM, there is rush on a few lines at peak hours. It's not as worse as Japan though, where professional pushers are employed.

I have seen Bangladeshi members bad-mouthing anything Indian & considering themselves to be superior. They think that Bangladesh is too advanced for Indian products.

Heck, even the Indian Space program is not spared. Such audacity, when Bangladesh lags behind Zambia in number of USPTO patents !!!

So Indian members here try to drill some sense into the heads of PDF Bangladeshis by posting links to statistical data & proper sources.

Brothers,
We have muddled two things together.
First, Auto/manual closure of door has more to do with safety and internal Air conditioning.
A huge number of sub urban trains in India (called MEMUs/Local/...) are non air conditioned and therefore closure of door is not required technically. However if the same train starts to move at higher speeds, you will require a door closure system from safety point of view.

Now this system can be used in two ways, Over-ride type or Alert.
A train operator (or driver) will get alarm in his cabin if the doors are closed or not. Now in some technologies, this will give a start permissive to drive the train only when all doors are closed, else driver cannot move. (this is most used technology).
In some cases the system generates and Alert and then Driver has to take action to ensure that doors are closed and then drive away. However, it can overlooked (or jumper).
in case of Delhi Metro (for that matter all Indian Metros), the system is that train cannot move if doors are not closed. Further train comes to stop if door opened accidentally or sabotaged.

With increase in level of automation, several operator actions are now transferred to PLCs ot micro-processors. These are classified in categories as follows:

I'm not sure what system Bangladesh has selected, hopefully it is amongst best in the world.

Pretty sure it may be the suburban commuter trains. Some of them have "doors" on the newer rakes:

I'm not sure these have Auto Door Closure by default. Although there are plans to install.

there is a significant co-operation between India and Bangladesh as far as Railways is concerned. India has supplied High speed LHB coaches recently and i believe these are already in Intercity express service.

That Dehli metro pic is good. Dehli looks green and clean.

I have heard a lots of video of how china is cheating pakistan from none other than Pakistani media. They discuss how china will use cpec and pakistan shall pay maintenance bill. How outdated coal based power plant technology is offered to Pakistan etc. How people opposes shahbaz sharif's offer of free land. How Hasan Nisar and nazam shetty raise their voice of concern.

Incoming loan announcements are not the same as the time they will take to be spent as part of the GCF. I mean this is the case with CPEC and Pakistan too. 45 billion dollars (a lot of it still stuck at MOU stage) is not going to be spent there over any short time period.

Plus please post a break down of this 30 billion US total....each project with a source. How many are MOUs and how many have been fully started etc (if a coolie like you even knows the difference).

So this comes to 22.6 billion dollars. Remember that I have not included the many billions that will also come from ADB and other agencies and so 30 billion dollars is roundabout what BD will spend on infrastructure from foreign loans up to 2024.
In addition to this add in around 2-3 billion dollars each year from BD's own funds and you can see that over the next 7-8 years BD will spend around 50 billion dollars on infrastructure.

You didn't give the start dates of investment for these. Dhaka metro for example has been going on for how long now?

Anyway assuming average timeframe of 2015 - 2023 for this 50 billion total you are talking about. Thats about 6 billion a year. That makes less than 10% of yearly GCF in Bangladesh.....given Bangladesh GCF is around 30% of GDP in USD nominal terms.

These loans all have to have high transfer efficiencies to not create NPA bubbles, something that seems to be already unfortunately starting in BD even in simpler sectors:

So it is stuff I am not going to judge any long term analysis on especially given how low Bangladesh consumption and investment is per person (roughly 10 - 15 years behind India) and the bad corruption, bureaucratic hurdles and weak sustained climate (esp for foreign FDI) that Bangladesh suffers from.

We will have to wait and see. I mean what is Bangladesh stock market total capitalization anyway? That will give an idea of the domestic strength of equity resource available from private sector that will be crucial in making govt based/ coordinated investment work in the long run.
