What's new

Bangladesh is close to finalise a deal with China for six mega projects valued over $6 billion.

Good luck Bangladesh. China is true friend of his neighboors.

That Dehli metro pic is good. Dehli looks green and clean.

Beta, you only need to care about your LDC swampland with 43% poverty. Thinking about India can overburden your brains, given your low intellectual capability.

Now go back to your sweatshop & start stitching. :omghaha:

Well those sweatshops are way better than selling organs though but too bad Indian won't understand...

Published a week ago in the latest WB report it Turned out 9% Bangladeshi youths are unemployed and in India 10%. Look for it. I don't have the energy to google right now.

43% was years ago. Then it came down to 31% in 2011. This year it is 24%.

Please repeat thousand times so at least you can believe it.

It's their inferiority complex showing. Basically they couldn't even attain independence on their own. Even after 45 years, they still retain the title of world's largest insignificant country.

So they display this sense of superiority to hide their inferiority complex. I have seen them claiming that Bangladeshi garment industry is precision industry when compared with Indian automotive industry! Apparently they cannot even manufacture spares for their textile machinery & imports them from several countries including India.

Heck, even the Indian Space program is not spared. I have seen them mocking Indian Launchers. Such audacity, even when these buggers can't even make firecrackers let alone a single space-grade component on their own.

Do post it.

We are not talking about shitty quality BBS data here. I am talking about WB data.

As I told you before, anecdotes prove nothing. But statistics do.

The Bangladesh poor selling organs to pay debts

A quote From TIME

All the grief coming out of Bangladesh in the wake of April’s Rana
Plaza collapse has obscured one piece of good news. The World Bank
quietly announced back in June that the country reduced the number
of people living in poverty from 63 million in 2000 to 47 million in
2010. This sharp decline means Bangladesh will reach its first U.N.-
established Millennium Development Goal , that of poverty reduction,
two years ahead of the 2015 deadline. The country is also on course to
lower its poverty rate — the proportion of the population living below
the poverty threshold — to about 26%, an improvement on the original
target of 29.5%.

. . .
The last updated data from 'UN is from 2011, and it shows 43%. We're talking about international standard of $1.25 (PPP) a day.

Time a western magazine quoting WB 2013 Data. What is the reason behind your preference of 2011 WB Data over 2013 WB data?

Obviously latest data invalidates the older one.

why are you not saying anything in military co-operation with Saudi Arabia thread ?

Currently I am in a God forsaken restricted area that doesn't allow Broadband Internet. Can't use laptop. Coming dude.

Even tier 2 Indian cities are building them... This is Kochi metro

There are 7 Metro rails in operation in India, 7 more are under construction.

There is simply no comparison with Bangladesh. Anyway, I am not interested in comparison with Dhaka, the city which received the lowest score for infrastructure among all 140 cities surveyed for liveability ranking.
bruv... mumbai metro notoriously cant handle the demand in working days... there is just too many people...
