Unfortunately for Bangladesh, they may not be able to afford the JF-17 with the AESA, since the cost may go up by 35 to 40 million per aircraft. They may have have no option but to go for the cheaper version with the Grifo-7 radar.Zeeshan S. said:The best planning for the Bangladesh air force would be to get hands on FC-1 fighter. It will get it cheap from China, and will have capability they need!
If they want the western standard fighter then they can go with the modified JF-17 with an AESA radar which will really boost their capability.
If Pakistan plays its cards correctly, it can swipe the deal to sell JF-17s to BD instead of China selling the FC-1. Although in both cases China earns some money, however, in an FC-1 deal Pakistan may loose out on their commission.
Correct me if I am wrong.
