I think one has to replace 'Indian' with the word 'Ghoti' (Kolkata Bengalis) because the average Indian (unless they are Ghoti) are not as interested with Bangladesh affairs. In fact they could care less.

The Ghotis who are working in Dhaka don't think as carefully as you. Because they have seen the similarities for themselves.

I personally know plenty of Ghotis in the greater San Diego and Los Angeles areas. These people all come from upper middle class to upper class backgrounds in Ghoti families. Mostly educated in the US.

No big differences. We go to the same Kabir Sumon concerts with middle class people and consume the same Mishti Doi.

Plenty of Aatels (intellectuals) on our side too. It's a disease.....
