- Delivery in 2 batches - 2nd batch within 24 months of 1st.
- Aircraft must be brand new and manufactured this year.
Would have been nice to see 12 with an option for an additional 4. Oh well...

Why wasting time u think govt to govt deal can happen for 8 more MIG-29 and also upgrading existing MiG-29 to latest version. We are surly not buying 8 new type of mrca.
It asks for an ESA radar, then Mig-35 is in the picture.
Someone help me out...why do people think, these won't be brand new - it's spelled out specifically in the tender
59. Date of Manufacture. The offered aircraft must be brand new and the date of manufacture of the aircraft, engine, all major equipment, avionics and communication system are not to be manufactured earlier than the year of signing the contract. All the vendor items should be brand new and the date of manufacture of the vendor items will be as per the certificate provided by the manufacturer but not earlier than the year of signing the contract.

It's definitely mig 35... and I guess depending on the condition of the aircraft (mig29) either they'll be upgraded to smt to complement and form the full sdq or just 4 more bought to form mig 35 sqd
Since there is a requirement for maritime role I can't totally negate sukhoi out yet for this one.
It says - there has to be 3 international operators.
