Balkanization of India is viable but I don't care

Balkanization is something previous Indian leaders were very aware about, especially Congress. They realized that cohesiveness between different religion, race and ethnic groups is critical to the unity of the Indian Union . Unfortunately BJP labeled that as minority appeasement. Once the division and hatred along those lines keeps growing then balkanization is just a matter of time.

The estimate from some years ago is that there are 35+ million stray dogs in India.

At least in Andhra, Nagarjuna wife Amala campaigned against slaughter of street dogs instead batted for their sterilization. So you see more dogs in the street.

More dogs and no cats. And also people being attacked and even killed by dogs and illegally aborted human female fetuses being fed to dogs in Beed town in Maharashtra to conveniently dispose of the fetuses.

I would have them removed from streets and placed in a care facility after sterilizing so they live out the rest of their natural life. We humans have become emotion less and cruel. This planet is for all animals. Clearly a communist doesn't see it that way.

But it is everywhere. You can check for the number of dog attacks and rabies cases throughout India.

As for Bombay, the high court there had accepted this statement in 2016 :

(In comparison, the two attacks killed 422 people.) More than 1.3 million people had been bitten by dogs in the city during the same period.

But from your experience it seems that Bombay has been more active in tackling the dog menace than other places. Except Kerala.

I had a cat and a dog previously, cute little things always played with each other. Cat used to sleep on the dog every night. They had such a bondage. One day cat ran on to the street and came under a car. My dog didn't eat for 3 days. He kept looking for the cat all over the house thinking he was hiding somewhere. I saw it crying believe it or not.

One day cat ran on to the street and came under a car. My dog didn't eat for 3 days. He kept looking for the cat all over the house thinking he was hiding somewhere. I think this bonding happens when Cat is the first born and the dog a puppy. The cat was already 6-8 months old when I got the dog as a new born puppy. My cat used to bear all his tantrums as a puppy. I think my dog saw it as a mother. My dog used to go and sleep where ever the cat slept. With in a year, dog got big and cat started sleeping over him until it passed away 6 months later.
