Are you serious? Solid proof is Turkey built a slow propeller driven trainer while China built a Mach 2+ capable aircraft that has a low radar signature, is capable of 50-60+ thousand feet, and has an AESA radar amongst many other things.

Guys that is true that China is ahead of us in aerospace technology. Maybe not 30 years, but at least 20-25 years. Nothing wrong with it or accepting it. It was even worse for us 10 years ago, the GAP between China and Turkey was at least 50 years in 2001. We are developing in this sector very fast.

But people should also accept that, Chinese tech is a junk compared to Western tech. I mean, it is. Nothing wrong to accept it. China is also closing the GAP between them and EU/USA.

I still don't get it why we are discussing China vs Turkey. Come on

I won't underestimate Russian aerospace technologies. In fact I believe Russia is ahead of China on this field.

But making such a sharp statement about mighty Chinese technologies is ridiculous. Again I do not underestimate China.

ok so what's the status of the TFX?

It's on track however with a project like this there will be hiccups after all this plane will replace the hundreds of TurAF F16s, if you will give up in the face of some difficulties then you don't deserve to have your own stealth fighter as you'd be too weak to use it anyways . Furthermore, you are on the fucking thread where the TFX topic is being discussed and updated and yet you ask me for the answer in front of you? Sod off you troll

Plans to have the TF-X flying by 2023 have been abandoned.

Good news is the TF-X project is not totally abandoned but timeline is shifted (read delayed considerable)

Reason is that many senior officers involved in the TF-X project have been detained after the coup on charges of being FETO, new date for TF-X is not known.
