MOSCOW, December 8 (RIA Novosti) - Azerbaijan is using drones to carry out spying missions along its border with Iran and Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijan’s ethnic Armenian breakaway republic, Iran’s Press TV reported on Saturday.

Iranian military experts said Azerbaijan has been using Orbiter ultra-light drones assembled with Israeli help, as well as Hermes-450 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) “for control and surveillance missions.”

Israel has sold 10 Hermes-450 drones, manufactured by Elbit Systems, to Azerbaijan between 2009 and 2012, the agency said, adding that Israeli satellites “are closely cooperating with Azeri drones.”

The Hermes-450 UAVs can be equipped with offensive systems such as air-to-air and surface-to-air missiles, as well as electronic warfare equipment.

Earlier this year, an escalation of deadly skirmishes was seen between Armenian and Azeri forces along the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and between Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh, sparking international fears that renewed full-scale conflict could be imminent.

Thousands of soldiers from each side are massed along those fragile lines. They regularly breach the ceasefire agreement by exchanging occasional small-arms and light-weapons fire, but have stopped short of intensifying the fighting.

LOL HAHAHAHA we'll hack their drones and then give them to Armenian.
fakebaijan will get it's *** kicked again by Armenia and Iran will get back our land.
Azerbaijan is both allies with Israel and US, you might think twice before attacking and stealing another chunk of Azerbaijan because allies already are looking for an excuse to attack Iran.

.
Persian you remember Iraq lol.

You stole Turkish and Azerbaycan culture the world saw it in Eurovision that it's azerbaycan things.

Even the instrument tar you tried to steal but UNESCO acknowledged its Turkish Culture and instrument.

How can we steal something that is ours to begin with ?
Azerbaijan has been part of Iran for 1000's of years. Their people in the cities around the borders with Iran come to Iran every year in thousands and celebrate nowruz. They want to be back to Iran.
Land of fire belongs to Azeri people. If Azeri people want to be part of Iran why do they host Israel and U.S? Why are they so anti-Iran? Why do Azeri want attack on Iran?

Azerbaijan obviously doesn't like Iran enough, so don't make lies about this and say they want to be back in Iran. Azeri only visit IRan to laugh at you. Life style in Azerbaijan is much more liberal and free. IRanians can only dream about those freedoms.

So...have the drones actually crossed into Iranian or Karabakhi airspace? If not, then I don't see what the issue is. Armenian drones regularly monitor the front line from our own airspace.

I would be surprised if Azeri drones are violating Iran's airspace. I don't think the Azeris would dare that. On the other hand Azeri drones along Iran's border wouldn't surprised me. I'm sure Iranian drones are monitoring Azerbaijan's border too.

Do you have your own drones? or Russia donated to you
