Azerbaijan more important for Israel than France

being hostile to Jews has nothing to do with being shia or sunni. as said ptex Iranians and Azeris are not so hostile towards Jews and in the same time you seem not but the saudi guy in this thread seems to be very much into it, so extrem that he even believes Ahmadinejad (being an ultra conservative) loves Jews when he is just playing with the anti sionist Jews , or sects.

Abii > well said :)

.
You are wrong to blame Islamist here..remember Turkye is 99% Sunni-Muslim and Azerbaijan is also a Muslim majority country with 60% population of Shia-Muslims which are far more hostile towards the Jews than Sunnis (think Iran).

However, AKP is playing a political football by using Israel as a bargaining chip to extract concession from Arabs..if you follow the news you will know simply how many contracts Turkish firms have bagged after the Mavi Marmara incident. Arabs are sentimental - the moment they see Turkey jumping the anti-Israel band wagon..they would open their jackpots for Turkish companies. It was a cheap move but business is business...And Turk-Israel releations are back to normal after some US mediation..in any case..Turk-Israel trade increased 125% under the same Islamist AKP regime.

By passing comments like these you are trying to imply that the problem exisit between the Muslims and Israel or Jews - which certainly is not true..but rather the problem exists between Israel and the Arabs!

I believe there is a very big difference between Islamist extremists and Muslims, one commits terror attacks(Or supports them) and the other just wants to live their lives peacefully.

From the beginning it was an Arab-Israel conflict but since Islamic revolution in Iran, well you know who leads Anti-Israel movement nowadays.

Now look at Turkey, they are mostly Sunni and for a good 5 decades they were considered one of our most important allies, and suddenly AKP is elected and Turkey takes up the mantle of Israel bashing and hugging Hamas leaders and released murderers.

The economy up the west is bad and Turkey is gonna take up the policy of look east then it will have to make some compromises...That Israel bashing has suddenly made Turkey, the most favored contractor in Arab World..understand the business :)

.
I never considered Western Europe to be an ally.
There is nothing of worth in the west except the US and Canada, the future is looking east and the future is looking bright. :)

Is this just residual resentment of the Holocaust and the callousness/inaction of Western Europe during WWII? Post-WWII Western Europe has been very supportive of Israel and has made big progress in ending anti-semitism in what has historically been a very anti-semitic region.

.
Ohh how did it happen..Azerbaijan a Muslim country trades with the evil Jooosss!
May God wrath be upon them!!

Azerbaijan is a case study for Pakistan on why it should foment relations with Israel and benefit with the high quality R/D at relatively affordable cost.

For suggesting this, u r going to get pakistan members wrath on pdf :P :flame: :taz::chilli:

I understand, i just have an unforgiving nature. :)

@Raphael
Is there a bigger suck up to Arab oil than Western Europe? No. They say we are allies but they backstab us every chance they get. Antisemitism just got replaced with new pretty words; Anti-Zionism and Anti-Israelism and they do a good job at matching the Arabs on this regard.

Anti-semitism still exists in large quantities in Europe, i know because i have experienced myself many times. For example in our primary school there was a Jewish boy, he got beaten up etc. just because he was Jewish. Even in young circles you can hear in Denmark "shut up you Jew" etc. I think there must go another decade for anti-semitism to be completely erased...

Well well
it is very strange to look for a kind of common ennemy.. europe???
strange attitude

not everyone is racist here. it is not because you hear one racist comment that this is the population

as well it is true many populations care about Palestine
well indeed they are not 100% pro Israel not 100% pro Arabs...
and by the way for your information , Europe didn't have any power for decision in the region ... who is doing the peace process? USA . you forgot about it?
If i read newspapers here i see most people imagine the solution of a Palestinian state is a good idea
Does it make the country anti semit because they believe in a Palestinian state?

They consider Hezbollah army as terrorist... and they don't like Hamas
well i didn't see such an anti Israel policy in the same time

.
no bro, 3/4

and the other ones are kurds

I'm the only Parsi in Iran.

didn't you know?

And Armenians and Iranians are brothers, just as Azaris are. Their music, food etc... is almost identical to ours and we were one nation until they became Christian. Soviet Azarbaijan was also part of Iran for a long *** time, but not as long as Armenia. You say half of Iran is turk but they fear turks. Doesn't make sense Einstein.

lol i think you should back to reality. stop BSing about armenians or azerbaijan turks we know your brothers and fears as well. iran has been ruled by turks for 1000 years until 1926. even in your capital there are more turks than persians. what do you think about that map? is it lie?

That number is wrong, Iran is 80 million Turk + 1 Parsi guy (yours truly)

lmao how ******* STUPID do you have to be to believe there are more Turks than Persians in IRAN?

Answer: look above

P.S. If you care about reality, which you don't, take a look at real facts and figures.

P.S. my grandfather was a Qashqai. So I guess there is only half a Parsi guy in all of Iran hahaha

.
ahahah lol you are using the map of an anti persian guy
what funny you are
hey man get some education and stop your hatred:
here comes the reality:
Iran - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Persians (61%), Azerbaijanis (16%), Kurds (10%), Lurs (6%), Arabs (2%), Balochs (2%), Turkmens and Turkic tribes (2%),[233] Laks, Qashqai, Pashtuns, Armenians, Georgians, Persian Jews, Assyrians, Circassians, Tats, Mandaeans, Gypsies, Brahuis, Kazakhs and others (1%).

Appareantly we're a minority in Iran.

I feel like a new man today! I suddenly feel the urge to protest for more minority rights!

Imagine somebody walking to a Turkish guy and telling him that Turks are a minority in Turkey and it's kurds who outnumber them lmao

this guy has gone

That is the problem, you do not see it but is there. Most of the population in Western Europe could care less about the Israeli-Arab conflict, but their minds are swayed every time they listen to Al-Jazeera, read about what Israel did here and did there.
Antisemitism is alive and well in Europe, even prospering. It just got a new name, Anti-Zionism.

I really didn't see it here. So just let me say i don't get it.
Al Jazeera? very few people watch al jazeera and i guess these last weeks it was very much criticized.
People here mostly see French and US media and UK media.
Not al jazeera

i know from friends in your country (ex Iranians) that your country is saying negative and exagerates
well all countries exagerate and make sometimes big story about a detail
people are maybe more openly untolerant (not sure about racist) because they have "hard times" but really they are very far from nazism or even a very nationalist state

until the economic conditions in Europe are okay, Jews should be fine. Historically, Europeans tend to look for a scapegoat the minute their economies crash.

There is no more anti Jewish sentiments based on religion though. Christianity is an after thought in Europe these days.
