A lot of aircraft will be coming in this year, M-346 for Air Force, M-346FA for Border Patrol, JF-17 for Air Force and etc., but I don't have exact time, Azerbaijan is pretty secretive on its procurement.

Good, hopefully JF-17 for multirole, and Su-35 for air superiority. Azerbaijan would have a killer Hi-Lo balance that will be able to handily take care of the Armenian air force, and yet have a good CAS, and strike capability.

Azerbaijan will most likely turn Su-35 into multirole by integrating Turkish Aselpod, guided munition and cruise missiles, having a pure air superiority fighter is kind of a waste in our a region.

Then wouldn't it be better altogether to go for Su-30SM or MKK? Why go for a dedicated air superiority fighter at a premium price when you can get a cheaper multirole fighter.

TAI also offers AKSUNGUR UAV for Maritime missions soon, and they are theoretically able to carry lightweight torpedos. Instead of costly Navy and Navy aviation i would go the economic way and choose UAVs and smaller vessels with punch and focus on Air & Land Forces.

Or Chinese UAV with dedicated anti ship missiles and 100km range anti radiation missiles.

Su-35 is still much cheaper than Western fighters, while providing massive capability, once we equip it with Aselpod, SOM and guided munitions, possibly even adding AESA instead of PESA, it will be the most capable 4th gen aircraft on the planet.

Hopefully Azerbaijan will be part of future Turkish stealth UCAV and has already expressed interest in joining TAI TF-X Project. These two will put our Air Force capability into another level. Although JF-17 + Su-35 is already overkill for our region.

There is no JF-17 contract or even anything indicating Azerbaijan’s intention of buying JF-17, only random rumors. JF-17 talk has been around since late 2000s, when Pakistani websites mentioned the name of Azerbaijan among “potential buyers” alongside several other countries. I haven’t seen a single serious source about it.

2.If the Su-35 is sold, will Azerbaijan have a demand from Russia to integrate Turkish weapons and systems, or what will Russia answer?
