What exactly is not logical about that?
Azerbaijan is in a state of war and currently under arms embargo.

They are free to buy from whoever they want.
Turkey does not apply ambargo to azerbaycan, only germans blocks some subsystems and we could not sell fırtına howitzers,so what ı see some people from azerbaycan do not wiilling to understand that if turkeys arm industry gets power its good for them too,if azerbaycan get stronger its good for turkey as well is there any evidence that if israel get stronger its also good for you, just look back georgia russia conflict israil gone away so you can trust turkey or turkish people but can not trust jews unless you are a jewısh

It looks like that they don't want to understand that most of the subsystems what Israel sell to Azerbadjian is German or USA. When a war start with Armenia they will see the real world wher they face ambargo, the same did happen in that one day attack with drones.

Azerbaijan bought weapons from Israel Turkey couldn't provide back then such as ATGM, SAM and UAV's (past).
It's not about trust, it's about business and Turkey was asleep while Israelis created Joint ventures with Azerbaijani companies.

What did you expect from them to wait?

If it was about the industry of defence, then no F-35 vs. S-400 issue in front of Turkey with billions of dollars of more agreements with USA and France(just like Saudis).

The foreign policies and internal policies of the current government can give you enough serotonin thanks to A haber, but in the world of logic does not buy such instability at high level for the future of a nation and country to survive in centuries.

The fetish of jewish has cost Turkey a lot, not enough still, he?... even Arabs got over it.

those numbers are not accurate, in 2017 Azerbaijani Air Force purchased 25 SOM cruise missiles, thats a 20+ mil deal alone.

because Turkish systems don't have foreign components?

Actually we talked about it.. border guard is towards Israel as they keep him in the power but this defence minister is very into Turkish side.

Would converting Azerbaijani Mi-17s to an optional attack role from South Africa help Azerbaijan develop a better attack helicopter fleet? These Mi-17s converted would be equipped with no composite rotor blades, new South African armament, new NV, FLIR, etc. Azerbaijan has about 65 Mi-17s according to Wikipedia which means that some could be upgraded while still keeping their transport capabilities. The South African armament is better than Russian armament in my opinion and carry 8 Ingwe, or 8 Mokopa which can surely destroy any Armenian vehicle and can also be armed with a 23mm gun pod. This would surely be cheaper than buying brand new helicopters and give Azerbaijan a greater edge over Armenia. In the future if something like this happened further cooperation with South Africa for Umkhonto SAM, Mokopa, or Ingwe TOT could be a possibility.

I do wish Azerbaijan would have gotten the Super Hind upgrade with South African weapons instead of the Ukrainian weapons from South Africa but I think that has passed. It would have increased the lethality hugely and helped with all-condition fighting capabilities.

Actually across all branches Azerbaijan has 100+ Mi-17s, around 20 of them have been upgraded by Israel with a FLIR and Lahat missiles to provide direct fire support for special forces, Azerbaijani attack helicopters are also receiving Spike ER and NLOS, we are also working on integrating those missiles on future attack helicopter Ka-52.
